What Happened To Renee Oteri After The Bachelor?

Every season, the Bachelor franchise features some memorable characters that could easily be labeled as the so-called "villain" of their given iteration. However, diehard fans will likely agree that there has been no lead more loathed in the franchise's entire history than Juan Pablo Galavis.

Juan Pablo had an innocent initiation into Bachelor Nation. He appeared on Season 9 of The Bachelorette, but was eliminated by lead Desiree Hartsock. He was then tapped to lead Season 18 of The Bachelor in 2014, and fans were excited to see what the Venezuelan soccer player had to offer. Unfortunately for Juan Pablo, he quickly became quite hated among Bachelor viewers for being so dismissive to his contestants and for his frustrating go-to "it's okay" response to anything he did not want to hear.

While Bachelor Nation fans say "it's okay" to keep the head-turning season in the past, memories of Juan Pablo's time as The Bachelor came to mind once again when his runner-up Clare Crawley debuted as 2020's Bachelorette. As Clare rehashed her experience from the cringe-worthy season, it triggered one question in particular: How are Juan Pablo's other contestants doing? Let's take a look at Renee Oteri's life after The Bachelor.

Renee Oteri is seemingly living her best life

After Renee Oteri was sent home crying following her hometown visit with Juan Pablo Galavis, she quickly ran out of tears. Shortly after she returned home from filming The Bachelor, Renee's first crush, first kiss, and first boyfriend, Bracy Maynard, reached out to her and they have been inseparable since, per People. "He had this epiphany," Oteri told the outlet in March 2014. "He said, 'I'm ready now, I want this to work.' I came to visit him and it was like we never broke up. It was better than it ever was," she gushed. The couple had previously tried a long distance relationship for two years after Renee got divorced in 2008, but the distance was too difficult.

Their love story slid into place quite quickly, with the pair falling in love all over again, getting engaged, and moving in together in Seattle in the span of five months. Renee and Bracy have now been married for six years and share two kids together.

Renee described her romance as "surreal," considering she wrote in her middle school diary that she would marry her childhood sweetheart. "I love everything about Bracy," she told People. "This is everything I've ever wanted in my life, since I was a little girl. It's definitely my fairy tale ending." We are so happy Renee found her (well-deserved) happily ever after!
