The Emmy-winning CNN commentator and host does happen to be single at the moment, after separating from wife Jana Carter in May 2018 and divorcing in June 2019. He's also a lawyer, a New York Times best-selling author, and the co-founder of several nonprofits. Jones is a serious man of strong convictions, fighting for social justice, including criminal justice reform — seemingly quite different from a woman who once cried her heart out when she lost a diamond earring in the ocean. Plus, he's 12 years older than West.

Later that year, he invited her to appear on his CNN show, The Van Jones Show, to discuss her work for prison reform. Then, in a 2019 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Jones told Andy Cohen that Kardashian is "brilliant," said that they communicated more than once a week, and stated she'd be a great lawyer.
On top of their shared passion for social justice, Kardashian and Jones have another thing in common: They're both parents. Jones has two children with ex-wife Jana Carter, Mattai, and Cabral, and Kardashian has four kids — North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm — with Kanye West.
