Spotify's Global Hits lead Becky Bass talked to Billboard about what she thinks helped Rodrigo's success, stating, "When we were talking about the audience that she had prior to the release — that's a very young, female, engaged audience. So they really sort of sparked the flame. But now what you have is it traveling well beyond that audience. And obviously, social media platforms have helped that, but I think just word of mouth." The plug from superstar Taylor Swift may have also contributed to Rodrigo's accomplishment. The Folklore singer commented on Rodrigo's Instagram photo of the iTunes chart where they both appeared, writing, "I say that's my baby and I'm really proud."
And with all of this new success, it appears that it's not only Rodrigo's star that's rising but her net worth as well.

Rodrigo's debut song not only blew up on TikTok but, according to People, "Drivers License" hit No. 1 on Spotify and Apple Music's global streaming charts.
Yet this wasn't Rodrigo's first major success. The teen has been starring and singing in High School Musical: The Series since 2019 on Disney+. The show is a hit with fans, especially since the supposed real-life relationship between Rodrigo and her co-star Joshua Bassett reportedly may have been what inspired the breakup ballad in the first place.
