The Real Reason Miley Cyrus Prefers To Be With Women Over Men
It seems like a very long time ago that Miley Cyrus was a Disney Channel darling, playing the part of bubblegum diva Hannah Montana. And while the series only ended in 2011, Cyrus wasted no time shedding her wholesome, good girl image. In fact, she began to court controversy as a career-furthering tactic. From twerking on Robin Thicke at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards to performing in outrageously sexy getups during her "Bangerz" tour and divorcing Liam Hemsworth in 2019, Cyrus sure knew how to get tongues wagging – including her own!
In 2015, Cyrus came out as pansexual. However, because her public relationships had previously all been with men, it's likely that her fans didn't quite know how to react to the bombshell admission. That is, until 2019, when the star rebounded with Kaitlynn Carter following her split with Hemsworth. The new 'ship had people questioning whether Cyrus preferred men or women or whether she was just "being Miley" (as she sang on her track "See You Again"). In 2020, Cyrus — who split with Carter and went on to date Cody Simpson – opened up about her sexual preferences. So, what did the famously candid starlet say?
Miley Cyrus thinks girls are 'way hotter' than guys
In a resurfaced interview with Barstool Sport's Call Her Daddy podcast, Miley Cyrus made her feelings crystal clear on which gender she believes to be more attractive. "Girls are way hotter," Cyrus explained. "Everyone, I think, can agree that from ancient times d**k makes wonderful sculptures. Other than that, I'm not as interested. I like d**k as art pieces," she clarified before adding, "[e]veryone knows that t**s are prettier than balls."
That being said, the singer's interest in women seemingly runs much deeper than mere physicality and may be rooted in gender stereotypes and societal expectations. "The role that I was in made sense because there's not going to be this weird thing that I pay for everything and whatever," she explained. Cyrus added, "I felt like the women I ended up being around, the role fit easier for me, because even in my relationship with men, a lot of the times, I kind of hold a more dominant space."
She continued, "Like if I'm going to be with a girl, I'm totally down to be with a boss b***h who's as successful, or more successful than me; that's cool too." Reading between the lines, perhaps Cyrus' mega stardom contributed to her splits with Liam Hemsworth and Cody Simpson. After all, it wouldn't be the first time famous men have been threatened by the success of their female partners.
Whether Cyrus chooses to be with a girl or guy next, fans are surely wishing her all the best.
