RHOP: Ashley Darby Reveals How Motherhood Has Changed Her
Following the first season of Real Housewives of Potomac in 2016, viewers have witnessed personal growth among the ladies of the Potomac River — some more so than others. Out of the RHOP cast, the housewife many fans have nominated for most improved is Ashley Darby. During the first season of the show, Ashley stirred up a fair share of drama among the ladies with her shady comments and extensive research into their personal lives. Additionally, we saw Ashley's family and relationship woes with husband Michael Darby cause major controversy while the two worked towards building their family with one another.
In July 2019, Ashley's dream to become a mother came true when she gave birth to their first child Dean Michael Darby, per People. After giving birth to Dean, cast members and viewers noticed a change in the youngest housewife's behavior. Ashley Darby says motherhood is 'rewarding'
Since giving birth to Dean, Ashley Darby has become a super mom. The Real Housewives of Potomac star often shares adorable photos and videos of Dean on her Instagram account. In February 2021, Ashley shared sweet footage of a happy Dean playing in piles of snow. "I lost my love for snow when I entered adulthood, but becoming a mom changed that!" Ashley captioned the post. "Waking up and seeing the snow, then watching these little humans experience all of the cold wonder, has been such a treat!"
Snow days aren't the only thing that Ashley and Michael Darby are looking forward to as a family. The RHOP star will welcome her second child in February 2021, per a pregnancy update she shared on social media. After announcing their pregnancy in September 2020, the soon-to-be-mom of two and her husband revealed baby No. 2 is a boy. Ashley reflected on her journey to motherhood in a post dedicated to her incoming bundle of joy, writing, "Less than a month until this little human comes into our lives. Being a mother is the most rewarding experience I could've ever imagined. I am just as excited, anxious, and happy with this little guy as I was with Dean. How can the heart hold this much love?" How sweet!
