In 2010, Eric was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the NFL, rising to fame as the team's wide receiver. In August of 2018, he signed a year-long contract with the New England Patriots (via ESPN), only to announce his retirement from football in an Instagram post shortly after.
In the midst of his rising football career, however, Eric experienced another important life event: dating and eventually marrying Jessie. The couple met and began dating in 2011, before tying the knot in 2013, according to E! News. When the football player announced his retirement, he noted that he was "looking forward to spending more time with [his] wife and kids." Now that Eric has retired, his family has relished in finding a more stable place to call home.
