Princess Eugenie Just Showed An Adorable Photo Of Her New Family
Princess Eugenie is one happy lady. The British royal — who is the daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, making her the granddaughter of the Queen — welcomed her and husband Jack Brooksbank's first child into the world on Feb. 9, 2021, giving Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip their ninth great-grandchild.
Buckingham Palace issued a statement confirming the birth, which revealed the royal family were "delighted" about the new addition to the family, who is 11th in line to the British throne. "The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank have been informed and are delighted with the news," it read (via BBC), adding, "Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."
On Feb. 20, 2021, Eugenie shared a first look at her adorable family of three and revealed their son's name: August. She posted sweet photos to her official Instagram account that showed herself and Jack holding baby August as they smiled. She wrote in the caption, "Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can't express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you."
Eugenie returned to social media in March 2021 for another adorable family update as she shared all-new photos of her son.
Princess Eugenie's family photos are seriously cute
On March 24, 2021, Princess Eugenie commemorated her 31st birthday — which she celebrated on March 23, 2021 — with the sweetest family photos posted to Instagram. The first showed her smiling from ear to ear as she held August on her chest and looked at her husband, Jack Brooksbank, who smiled back in her direction. August was all bundled up and wore a knitted garment with his name on the back and a white hat.
The second shot offered up a better look at little August looking at the camera while being held over the shoulder of a man, who appeared to be Jack. In the caption, Eugenie shared a message for all those who sent her birthday wishes. "Thank you for the birthday love yesterday.. I got the best present I could ask for!!" she wrote, alongside a red heart emoji.
The comments section was flooded with praise and sweet messages for the royal. "I love how naturally beautiful everything about you and your family are. happy birthday princess!" one person commented.
