The Truth About The Bachelorette's Landon Goesling

On the heels of Matt James' controversial season of The Bachelor, Season 17 of The Bachelorette is a bright spot on the horizon. For one thing, it's the first without longtime host Chris Harrison. Former Bachelorettes Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams will replace Harrison as co-hosts and fan-favorite contestant Katie Thurston will take the helm, with Matt's runner-up Michelle Young stepping up to lead Season 18 later on in 2021.

As of this writing, 34 men have signed on to try and win Katie's heart, many of whom have existing ties to Bachelor Nation. Us Weekly reports that contestant Andrew Spencer is cousins with NFL player Clay Harbor. (Fans may remember Clay from Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette in 2018.) According to the outlet, Andrew is also friends with Bachelor alum Chris Bukowski, who has made numerous appearances within the franchise. Another contestant on Katie's season is Landon Goesling, and despite the fact he doesn't appear to have ties to the show, he caught fans' eyes with his good looks. Not to mention, he's an athlete! So, will he have what it takes to impress Katie?

Here's what we know about Landon so far.

Landon Goesling's friend believes he'll win Season 17

Blogger Reality Steve is always ready with the dirt, and he didn't disappoint when it came time to dish on Katie Thurston's potential suitors. Per Reality Steve's digging, Landon Goesling played college basketball at the University of Houston, Appalachian State University, and St. Edward's University. These days, he reportedly works as a high school basketball coach at Coppell High School in Coppell, Texas. And it seems that Landon made quite the impression with his teammates — both on and off the court!

"Landon really doesn't surprise any of us. That's a unique dude," University of Houston guard DeJon Jarreau told the Houston Chronicle. "It's crazy, I feel like he'll win. He's [a] funny, outgoing, people-person. I feel like he'll draw a lot of fans." Calling the Bachelorette hopeful "smooth," Jarreau added that, "a lot of girls love his hair. I remember I used to post him on my Instagram story and a lot of people used to comment, 'Oh my God, he's so beautiful.'" That's quite the endorsement!

Unfortunately, as of this writing, Landon's Twitter and Instagram pages are both set to private, so fans can't see much of Landon's hyped-up hair. However, that just means there's lots to look forward to when Season 17 of The Bachelorette premieres.
