90 Day Fiance: Inside Deavan Clegg And Jihoon Lee's Messy Split

If you are on the hunt for an incredible new reality TV show, might we suggest 90 Day Fiancé? 90 Day Fiancé, otherwise known as the best show to ever grace TLC, is about so much more than visa regulations. It's a show about cultural conflict, long-distance romance, and — more often than not — failed love.

The complications of intercontinental love become even more high stakes with the addition of a camera crew catching all your fights and cringy conversations. No one in the franchise has more experience being awkward and angry than 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way's Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee. In classic 90 Day fashion, Deavan and Jihoon met online and fell hard for each other. Next thing you know, Deavan is pregnant and packing her bags to join Jihoon in South Korea, per Screen Rant.

That's where the trouble started. Deavan had a hard time adjusting to the cultural differences in South Korea. Additionally, money was tight and she didn't think Jihoon was doing enough to support their growing family. To make a very long story short, Deavan and Jihoon were not meant to be, and their split was one of the messiest in 90 Day Fiancé history. Here's the deal.

Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee took it to court

Deavan Clegg and Jihoon Lee's relationship was the definition of complicated. On their first season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Deavan moved to South Korea, could not get along with Jihoon, and moved back to the states. Then in the off-season, she moved back to South Korea and just as quickly left after a scary incident involving her eldest child, daughter Drascilla, wandering into traffic while Jihoon was supposed to be watching her.

When their second season began, Deavan was back in the U.S. with her two children. She was dating someone new and also alleged that Jihoon had physically abused her eldest child. Jihoon adamantly denied the allegations, per InTouch Weekly.

The former couple's storyline ended up being quite different from other cast members. Their arc became more Law & Order and less Modern Family as they battled it out in court for custody of their child, Taeyang, per Screen Rant. As if that were not enough to deal with, in February 2021, Jihoon filed suit against Deavan and her new boyfriend, alleging that they had slandered his name, per Monsters and Critics.

It just keeps getting messier and messier...
