This Blackpink Band Member Just Scored A Huge Deal

When it comes to K-pop, it seems members Rosé, Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo of the group Blackpink are, for all intents and purposes, a fiercely unstoppable tour de force. While they might face frequent comparisons to fellow K-pop export and worldwide sensation BTS, the all-female quartet has more than made their mark, continuously churning out bona fide chart-toppers, being the first history-making female K-pop band to perform at Coachella, and letting fans into their interior lives through a widely acclaimed 2020 Netflix documentary

While they might have reached the heights of fame as a pop music core unit, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa have also been able to branch out on their own — and now one member, in particular, has scored a huge deal with one of the most recognizable, high profile luxury brands on an international scale. So which member of Blackpink has scored a contract? And with whom? Read on after the jump to find out.

Rosé from Blackpink is Tiffany & Co.'s latest global brand ambassador

In an official statement released on April 21, Tiffany & Co. — the luxury jewelry retailer of Audrey Hepburn fame — announced that they had officially signed on Blackpink singer Rosé as their 2021 global brand ambassador. The performer is set to spearhead Tiffany's upcoming HardWear digital campaign, which will feature pieces "inspired by the edge and energy of New York City" circa 1971, according to the press release. Rosé (also known as Park Chae-young), the K-pop star's inclusion as a Tiffany brand ambassador places her alongside alumni like actors Lupita Nyong'o and Elle Fanning, as media outlets like Vogue noted in their coverage.

Per the brand's statement, Rosé shared her feelings on being chosen. Having worn Tiffany pieces since her school years, per Vogue, the K-pop idol explained that "to be part of an iconic brand that has been part of my life for a long time makes it that much more special to me." In an additional interview with the fashion magazine, the singer also cited that her aesthetic — Tiffany included — was greatly influenced by her mother. "She would dress up in the chicest black fitted blazer and pencil skirt," recalled Rosé. "She was always my idol. I wanted to look like her when I grew up."
