The Truth About The RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 6 Cast
"RuPaul's Drag Race" fans get their fair share of fashion, spins, and dips when alumni queens return for "All-Stars." Shea Coulee got her redemption when she walked away with the crown in "All-Stars 5." Beating out fellow finalists, Jujubee and Miz Cracker, Shea became the third Black queen to win a title in 2020 after "Drag Race" Season 12 winner Jaida Essence Hall and (who could forget), Miss Congeniality winner from Season 12, Heidi N Closet.
"Coming up in a scene that employs the same racial biases we see in the world, it made me doubt myself and my work as an entertainer because of my color," Shea told Entertainment Weekly. "'Drag Race' is like going through the looking glass. It's a wonderland. I'm so grateful that I had the chance not only to compete once, but come back a second time as a more realized version of myself and show the world exactly who I am."
The "All-Stars" seasons allow eliminated queens from previous seasons to come back and battle it out for their chance to snatch the crown. Not only does the show bring back familiar faces from "Drag Race," but queens who lost earlier seasons of "All-Stars" (especially this round) are getting a third shot at taking home the grand prize. On May 26, the cast of "RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars 6" was finally Ru-vealed. The show is premiering on June 24 on (exclusively) Paramount+. Here's who's competing.
'All-Stars' is ready for "the best season yet"
Just ahead of Pride Month, the cast for "RuPaul's Drag Race: All-Stars" Season 6 has dropped. So who made the cut? The cast includes A'Keria C. Davenport, Eureka (in her third go), Ginger Minj (in her third run as well), Jan, Jiggly Caliente, Kylie Sonique Love, Pandora Boxx, Ra'Jah O'Hara, Scarlet Envy, Serena Cha Cha, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Trinity K. Bonet, and Yara Sofia, as was revealed on YouTube. What a group! A number of queens stole the show in their previous seasons with memorable moments (and had us feeling the Jan-tasy) While others, like Trinity K. Bonet and Serena Cha Cha, may have shown promise, but are back with something to prove and scores to settle. And death drops to ... drop!
"We all, collectively, really showed our a**es," Season 6 queen Trinity K. Bonet told EW. "The best [description] I can think of is, The best season yet," she added. "I'm not as loud as I used to be," Eureka told the outlet. "I've come into my own. That's what will be different this season: the maturity that I've grown so much. I felt different, like I wasn't trying as hard."
13 former queens were selected to compete in Season 6. But only one will be selected to join the All-Stars Hall of Fame. Past winners include Alaska, Trixie Mattel, Shea Coulee, and more. Big things!
