The Real Reason Kesha Broke Into Prince's Home
You likely know that Kesha — or Ke$ha, if we're going to be super-accurate — is famous for thrilling listeners with songs like "Blah Blah Blah," "Your Love Is My Drug," not to mention "TiK ToK." You might also be aware of the fact that over the course of her career, the popular pop singer has also earned countless fans, impressive industry accolades, and enviable opportunities.
However, there are also quite a few things that you may not know about the singer. For instance, she was born with a rather interesting condition that resulted in an extra little something on her body (which, FYI, was removed years ago). On top of that, it turns out that despite being a success in the music industry, the star doesn't have as much money as you might have assumed.

Kesha came face-to-face with Prince after breaking in
Those who want to make it big in show business will sometimes do whatever it takes to get noticed by someone who has influence in the entertainment industry. Indeed, before Kesha was famous, that's exactly why she broke into the house of the late and great Prince. How could illegally entering an icon's home work out in her favor? Well, it turns out that Kesha had a plan (or, at least, a bold idea).
While sitting down for a chat on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon back in July 2014, the singer explained, "I cruised up [to Prince's house] in my dead grandpa's car and I get out ... and there's a gardener in the front yard and I was like, 'Here, five bucks and just don't make a thing and I'm just going to slide right under this gate.' ... He just laughed and thought it was funny." Crediting herself for "being charming at the time," she added, "So I snuck under the fence and then I just trolloped up the mountain." Since the door was unlocked, she simply walked into the house (which was filled with purple velvet), into the elevator (which was playing Prince's music), and found herself face-to-face with the legend himself (who didn't seem terribly impressed to see her).
What did Kesha do then? She put a demo CD of her music on a table and ran away! Hey, sometimes you just gotta shoot your shot.
