How Did Renee Zellweger Meet Ant Anstead?

Renée Zellweger is one of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry, and Ant Anstead is beloved in the reality TV world as the co-host of "Wheeler Dealers." (Ant has also been making headlines recently because of his split from his ex-wife, Christina Haack.) While there's no doubt that these two come from two separate worlds, it looks like their romance is flourishing — and fast, too. Even though the two of them haven't said anything about their relationship yet and have only been photographed a handful of times, Zellweger has reportedly started moving into Ant's home, per Us Weekly.

Zellweger has dated some huge stars in the past, including George Clooney, Bradley Cooper, and Jim Carrey. Back in 2019, Zellweger told The Guardian that it's not a challenge for her to have a personal life, even though she's an Oscar-winning actress with A-list name recognition. She told the publication, "It's not difficult at all. You just don't talk about it, you don't post it." Even with her and Ant not talking about their relationship, though, a picture's worth a thousand words — and Page Six has some steamy shots.

So, just how did Ant meet Zellweger? Some would say it was kismet, while others would say they aren't surprised that the stars aligned for them the way they did. Read on below to find out how!

Renée Zellweger's high-speed romance with car guru Ant Anstead

According to Us Weekly, Ant Anstead met Renée Zellweger on the set of his new Discovery+ series, "Celebrity IOU: Joyride." The series gives celebrities a chance to create the "automotive masterpieces for someone special in their lives." Zellweger guest-starred on the show to gift two cars to two brothers who were the caregivers for her publicist, Nanci Ryder, who died in 2020 after living with ALS for four years, Us Weekly noted. Little did Zellweger know while filming that Ant would turn out to be that special someone in her life. The two hit it off fast and have been with each other ever since.

Before Ant met Zellweger, he experienced a pretty dark moment in his life. He told People, "I reached this turning point where I was either going to dwell in the darkness or I was just going to slap myself around the face a few times and say, 'Wake up; you're incredibly blessed. Focus on all the great things.'"

And by judging the smiles on their faces in Page Six's photos of the couple, Anstead is waking up "blessed" with Zellweger by his side.
