What Deandra Kanu Has Been Up To Since The Bachelor

It's safe to say Peter Weber's season of "The Bachelor" was one of the most dramatic to date. Other than his indecisiveness and meddlesome mother, the season was also filled with some drama-loving women like Victoria Fuller and Alayah Benavidez. However, one contestant who stayed away from all that was Deandra Kanu. In fact, she later admitted that she was "furious" that Peter rewarded the people who caused the most trouble.

She opened up about her experience on Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin's "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast, admitting she was upset and confused when she realized she was going to be sent home. "It was more like confusion," Deandra explained. "Like, hey, you are on this journey to find the woman who is for you. Why are we spending so much of this time on the same six girls trying to figure out about one girl's drama, or like two girls' drama?"

Thankfully, it doesn't look like Deandra has any hard feelings toward being eliminated, as she later shared an Instagram post thanking Bachelor Nation for being so "supportive and loving" throughout her journey for love. She also knows the right person is out there for her, adding, "CANT WAIT TO FIND MY FUTURE MANZ THOUGH CAUSE HEZ PROBABLY OUT THERE WATCHING THIS RN SHAKING HIS HEAD."

Scroll ahead to find out what Deandra has been up to post-"Bachelor" and why she hasn't given up on the reality show's process just yet.

Deandra has her own YouTube channel now

According to her LinkedIn page, Deandra Kanu got two new jobs following her stint on "The Bachelor" in 2020. She worked as an account executive at an insurance company in Irving, Texas, before landing the role of Pharmaceutical Inside Sales at McKesson, where she's been working for the past 10 months.

It seems Deandra's life after becoming a member of Bachelor Nation also helped her build a social media presence. Just like many other fellow contestants from her season, including Natasha Parker, Victoria Paul, and Madison Prewett, she has an impressive Instagram following where she shares content with fans ranging from positive vibes to her OOTD. Deandra also has her own YouTube channel where she offers wellness advice and reviews products.

Deandra will get the chance to see her former castmates  — and other "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" contestants — on "Bachelor in Paradise" when it premieres on August 16. Check out those details below.

Deandra will give love another shot on 'Bachelor in Paradise'

Deandra Kanu will join "Bachelor" alums Joe Amabile, Kelsey Weir, Victoria Larson, and more on Season 7 of "Bachelor in Paradise" this summer. Though it didn't work out for her on "The Bachelor," it looks like the Texas native believes the process can work for her since she's giving love another shot. Of course, fans will only know if she's met her match when the show premieres, but Deandra knew exactly what she was looking for in a partner.

Per her "Bachelor" bio, she wants to be with someone who is "as loyal to her as she would be to them" and wants a man "who will kill a spider for her as she runs away screaming." She also told BachelorNation.com the best way to get attention her is to be "confident" and "shoot your shot." Deandra added, "Sometimes I need convincing that you're serious about me so make it known to me!" As for what she's excited for the most, that's "interacting with people without masks."
