Heidi Montag And Spencer Pratt's Baby News - 5 Facts You May Not Know
Stars (read: villains) of MTV's The Hills (2006-10), Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are going to have a baby. But before, you get too excited, there are some facts you may want to know about the growing Montag-Pratt family.
When and how did they announce the good news?
Nicki Swift previously reported on April 12, 2017 that the reality star power couple are expecting a baby. Montag and Pratt announced the pregnancy to Us Weekly, and by the sounds of things, they were not expecting the news one bit—at least, Pratt wasn't.
The 33-year-old recounted waking up to finding his wife "just standing there."
"The look on her face, I can't even describe it. She was literally glowing. I thought she was about to say she made muffins or banana bread," Pratt said.
"Heidi said, 'I'm pregnant,'" Pratt went on. "I was like, 'Whoa, that's way more exciting than banana bread!' "
Yeah, we'd say that's some pretty big news.
Have they talked about having children in the past?
Having children has always been something on Montag's to-do list, but she's had to work to get Pratt on her side. In 2016, Montag, 30, spoke with Faithwire about how her religion helped her change Pratt's mind. "I had to pray to get my husband to even ... agree to have a kid."
After her former co-stars Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port announced their pregnancies in 2017, Montag shared her thoughts on the matter in video for Faithwire, stating that she tried not to compare her life to other people's. "Obviously I have been wanting children and I'm excited for it, but it hasn't been the right timing for me. So I think in life it's important for us to pray and prioritize God's timing in our lives and not compare [our life] to other people's," she said. "Because we're all different and we all have different things going on."
Apparently, Montag and Pratt finally got the timing just right for their family.
What are the former reality stars doing now?
Montag and Pratt have rode their fame from The Hills as far as it could take them—and, somehow, they're still finding new ways to make money from seemingly doing nothing. After failing to capitalize on their dwindling fame with a music career, Montag and Pratt wrote a book called How to Be Famous. They also joined a few other reality shows to maintain their relevance, including I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here, Celebrity Big Brother in the U.K., Celebrity Wife Swap, and Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.
What other The Hills stars have children?
As previously mentioned, Speidi's former co-stars Conrad and Port are expecting children in the near future. Conrad, who's married to William Tell, announced her pregnancy in Jan. 2017. Port, on the other hand, revealed that she and husband Tim Rosenman were expecting a child in Feb. 2017.
But they're not the only The Hills reality stars to grow their families. In June 2016, Audrina Patridge welcomed a daughter with her then-fiancé Corey Bohan. Kristin Cavallari has also been busy adding to her brood with husband and former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, with whom she has three children.
Can we expect more Montag-Pratt children in the future?
If Montag gets her way, the couple will have a few more children. In a Q&A video with OK! Magazine, Montag told the publication and its viewers, "I want more than one child, so I know that it's a time-sensitive thing. ... I want two or three children."
However, Pratt didn't seem too kean on the idea. At her wish for three children, he joked, "What are you, a Duggar now?"
Guess we'll just have to wait and see if more kiddos are in the cards for this pair.
