Michael Buble To Make Return To The Stage

After taking months off from work commitments, Michael Bublé is coming back to the limelight.

ABC News reports that Bublé, 41, will accept the National Arts Centre Award from the Ottawa, Canada, National Arts Centre on June 28, 2017. On June 29, 2017, the "I Believe In You" singer will appear on a live telecast.

The award is presented annually "in recognition of recent exceptional work by a performing artist."

"We are delighted that Michael Bublé and his family are doing so well, and that they will all be joining us ... all of Canada wishes the Bublé family the very best," the National Arts Centre president told ABC News in a statement. "Michael Bublé is an exceptional singer and songwriter whose voice and stage presence have captured the hearts of audiences across Canada and around the world ... We believe the award will be like a homecoming for him in 2017."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Bublé and wife Luisana Lopilato bowed out of all professional engagements after their son Noah, 3, was diagnosed with cancer in November 2016.

In February 2017, the family released a statement about Noah's progress. "We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy. He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. We thank God for the strength he has given all of us."

Thankfully, in April 2017, Lopilato confirmed that Noah was cancer-free after four months of chemotherapy in Los Angeles.
