Did Kaitlynn Carter's Boyfriend Kristopher Brock Date Amber Heard?
Dating high-profile stars like Brody Jenner and Miley Cyrus has certainly put a tabloid bullseye on Kaitlynn Carter's back. Seemingly marrying Jenner in a grand 2018 ceremony four years into their courtship, Page Six shockingly reported that the couple not only separated by August 2019, but that they were never actually legally married. Following all of that drama, that same month, Carter began dating Cyrus (the "Wrecking Ball" singer's own split from Liam Hemsworth was announced the same day she and Carter were photographed kissing). And while Carter and Cyrus broke up less than two months later in September, by May 2020, Carter discovered romantic stability in fashion designer Kristopher Brock. And in June 2021, she announced she's expecting her first child with Brock.
With an artfully shot Instagram photo showcasing the couple's silhouettes, Carter revealed her pregnant belly. As she had previously told "Scrubbin' In With Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad" in December 2020, she felt Brock was the most "mature" individual she's been with. "I've never had a relationship that was just easy and I don't want to put anybody else down, but I feel like he's the first adult I've ever dated," she shared (via E! News).
Already a father, Brock shares son Charlie Rose — and his women's luxury fashion label, Brock Collection — with ex-wife Laura Vassar. What few know, however, is the romantic history Brock once shared with none other than Amber Heard...
Amber Heard had a jukebox date with Kristopher Brock
After divorcing Johnny Depp in 2017 and later dating Elon Musk, Amber Heard was in a relationship with art dealer Vito Schnabel for the better part of 2018, according to E! News. By October 2018, the "Aquaman" star was seen getting publicly romantic with Kristopher Brock that October. Per the Daily Mail, Heard and Brock were seen together on two separate occasions that month (and on opposite coasts). First they enjoyed a night of slow-dancing at New York's Doc Holliday's bar in early October — the actor even selected songs on a jukebox before she and Brock hit the dance floor in a close embrace — and just a week later, at a dinner date at Beverly Hills' Matsuhisa restaurant. For the seemingly more formal meal, Heard draped herself in a black, belted cocktail dress with a matching long blazer lending it a downtown edge. Her slicked-back hairdo accentuated her choice of a bold, red lip. Brock, wearing a navy blazer over a white button-up, complemented his date nicely.
Unfortunately, despite their two documented romantic evenings, the pair didn't last long. And in March 2019, Us Weekly reported that Heard was getting serious with "It" director Andy Muschietti.
Kristopher Brock and Kaitlynn Carter are keeping things chill
Now that Kristopher Brock has found steady love in Kaitlynn Carter, the latter revealed that they prefer to keep their romance as private as possible. In a December 2020 episode of the "Scrubbin' In With Becca Tilley and Tanya Rad" podcast, Carter said that she and Brock "don't want to do overly public things." Such is their regard for their privacy that the couple even plays it close to the vest with their own inner circle! "A lot of friends will ask me, 'How is everything going?' And all I can ever say is, 'It's going really well,' because it's like the most seamless, chill relationship," Carter revealed (via Us Weekly). Given how many "inside sources" many gossip outlets have, that is probably the savvy move.
The most the "The Hills: New Beginnings" star has delved into specifics of her relationship was a May Instagram post detailing how she and Brock met. "@kristopher.brock and I were introduced by a mutual friend over text last May," Kaitlynn wrote. "I asked him out on a first date a few days later (unknowingly) ON HIS BIRTHDAY, May 18. he had plans w his son that night," she explained, so the two planned the date for May 19 instead over dinner at a restaurant in Malibu. "and the rest is history...," she teased.
