Does Tiffany Trump Know The Kardashians?

It's not very often that you hear the Kardashian name and Trump name in the same sentence, even though they are two of the most talked-about families in the celebrity world. In fact, the Trump kids have a lot of things in common with the Kardashian-Jenners: Not only did they grow up with silver spoons in their mouths, they also love being in the limelight, for better or for worse. They have careers in common, too. There are aspiring lawyers in both families (see: Tiffany Trump and Kim Kardashian), and Ivanka Trump and Kendall Jenner both modeled. Additionally Kourtney, Kim and Khloé Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner — like Ivanka — all had their own fashion lines.

And while Ivanka might have a personal connection to Kim — they both shared words of praise for each other when Kim visited the White House in 2019 in her advocacy for criminal justice reform — it's Tiffany Trump's connection to the Kardashians that everyone really wants to know about.

Inside Tiffany Trump's teenage years growing up with the Kardashian-Jenners

Tiffany Trump is the only person in her family who actually grew up with the Kardashians. While Tiffany's older half-siblings, Donald Jr., Ivanka, Eric — and later, little brother Barron — lived on the East Coast with their father Donald Trump, Tiffany lived in California with her mother, Marla Maples (the former president's second wife). Tiffany grew up in Calabasas — which, to anyone who has ever watched an episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," knows that it's home to Kris Jenner and her family.

In an interview with People back in 2016, Tiffany explained her relationship with the famous reality TV family. She said, "[We knew the Kardashians] like a little a bit. My mom was friends with Kris, of course, and she's amazing. We lived there before the show even started." Tiffany is also the same age as Kendall Jenner, and revealed that the model was "best friends with a friend" of Tiffany's from high school.

And while Tiffany loved living on the West Coast with her mother — she said she has great memories of her and her mom "always together, driving me to school, carpooling, singing songs, dancing around, me making fun of her dance moves" — Marla, who called herself "a single mom" to People, didn't want her daughter to go down the same path as the Kardashians. Here's why.

Tiffany's mom Marla Maples wanted her to focus on her future, not her celebrity status

Tiffany Trump told People that her mother Marla Maples made the decision to move from California to New York. And that's not necessarily because she wanted Tiffany to be closer to her other Trump siblings, but because she wanted her daughter to be more focused on her studies and her future, rather than the celebrity world that comes with growing up so close to Hollywood.

As Tiffany explained, "She moved us out of New York to get out of the spotlight and let me grow up and find my own identity versus being in the shadow of a name or growing up very young with all that pressure. So, she wanted me to have a chance to have a normal childhood. As normal as possible. I think that she did well in that."

It turns out that making the move was perhaps the best decision Marla could make, as Tiffany went on to graduate Georgetown Law School in 2020 — while also keeping her name out of the headlines. Perhaps Tiffany can use some of her schooling to help Kim Kardashian make it through law school. We suggest study sessions over breakfast at Tiffany's.
