How Tall Is Nicholas Braun?

In a January 2020 interview with "Insider," actor Nicholas Braun revealed that in the past, "he's misrepresented his height when applying for parts." Playing the meek and awkward Cousin Greg on "Succession," Braun's height has been somewhat understated. It makes sense for his character to slouch his shoulders when talking to people since Greg is a mumbling, shy guy. That being said, "Succession" tends to show shots of Greg leaning down to speak to people, so there were always hints of his above-average stature.

Considering the fact that he's been acting since he was a teenager, popping up in Disney Channel movies like "Sky High" and "Princess Protection Program," it's no wonder that people have been wondering about his true height for years. Thanks to the internet, it's usually not too difficult to track down a celeb's height. However, as Insider notes, it's been a point of contention for quite some time — especially over on celebheights.com.

However, in his Insider interview, Braun decided to settle the matter once and for all.

Nicholas Braun is almost seven feet tall

"Six-seven is the real number," Nicholas Braun said of his height in a January 2020 Insider interview. He continued, "I used to make it shorter because most people hear 6'7" or even 6'6" and I think are a little spooked by it, like I'm going to be too tall. I'm just talking about in auditions or when I'm going for a part. So I used to sort of make it low, 6'4", 6'5"."

Being especially tall is often seen as desirable for men, so why would Braun hide his true height from the world? (Maybe Kim Kardashian would have responded to his attempts to woo her if she knew.) Well, Braun opened up about his decision to muddy the truth. "It's been the biggest impediment to getting roles I think my whole life. Because even as a kid when I was younger, like 11, 12 years old, I was very tall, I just kept being very tall," Braun told Insider. "But everybody's got something that can get in the way. I'm just gonna embrace it from here on out."

It's worth noting that Braun's height has certainly made him stand out in comparison to his "Succession" costars. His castmates include Kieran Culkin (5'6"), Brian Cox (5'9"), and Jeremy Strong (5'10"). And it doesn't seem like Braun's height has been a hindrance as he was nominated for an Emmy in 2020 for his role as Cousin Greg.

Nicholas Braun is using his height to his advantage

Despite his above-average height, Nicholas Braun has been steadily booking gigs for years. According to his IMDb page, he has over 50 acting credits, ranging from comedic to dramatic and from TV show to movies. Following his Disney days, Braun nabbed roles in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," "The Stanford Prison Experiment," and "How to Be Single" — just to name a few past projects.

Braun's next big project? A "TV series about the rise and disastrous fall" of WeWork, per Insider. According to the outlet, Braun, who will serve as the executive producer of the project, cast himself as Adam Neumann, the former CEO of WeWork. As it turns out Neumann is 6'5", which is nearly perfect casting height for Braun.

These days, instead of being an obstacle in his career, it seems Braun is taking advantage of his tall stature!
