This Is Why Hailey Bieber Isn't Comfortable Giving Relationship Advice

Fans of Hailey Bieber are well aware that she is married to pop superstar Justin Bieber, but they may be surprised to learn that she isn't the person you should go to if you're seeking marriage advice. In a recent interview with Yvonne Orji on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," per Us Weekly, Hailey explained she "likes to be careful" when she's giving other people advice on getting married, because she doesn't want to appear to be an "expert" on the subject. She told Orji, "I'm newly married. I got married quickly. I'm still taking it a day at a time and I'm still learning a lot."

Hailey and Justin tied the knot in 2018, and the model shared of life before getting married: "Having the time to be on your own and having the experience to be single and just, like, travel and having had that time I think was the most important thing. That was the biggest thing for me was that I had my own life experience before I joined my whole entire life with somebody and had my own identity and comfortable in my own skin."

Hailey has been incredibly transparent about her marriage life, and she has even revealed some highs and lows which have affected her and Justin's relationship.

Hailey Bieber opens up about her husband's sobriety

When Hailey Bieber spoke on a November episode of the "In Good Faith with Chelsea and Judah Smith" podcast, she got candid about her husband's journey to get sober. She explained that one night, she called her mother crying. "I was like, 'I just can't do it. There's no way that I'm going to be able to do this if it's going to be like this forever,'" she recalled. Hailey continued by saying that she had made the decision to marry Justin Bieber, and she wasn't going to "give up on him. I just wouldn't do that to him."

In an April interview with GQ Magazine, Justin opened up about his drug problems, and his relationship with his wife. He said, "I have a wife who I adore, who I feel comforted by. I feel safe. I feel like my relationship with God is wonderful. And I have this outpouring of love that I want to be able to share with people, you know?" He explained that in the past, he used drugs as a "numbing agent," but that despite all his success, he still felt terrible and "in pain." In March 2019, Justin stepped away from his career aspirations to prioritize his mental health. Speaking specifically of Hailey, he said that she had been a "major positive force."

Justin Bieber admitted the first year of marriage was 'tough'

In his interview with GQ, Justin Bieber admitted that the first year of marriage to Hailey Bieber was no walk in the park "because there was a lot, going back to the trauma stuff." But, he said, "we're just creating these moments for us as a couple, as a family, that we're building these memories. And it's beautiful that we have that to look forward to."

Justin was 24 and Hailey was 21 when they tied the knot. When Hailey spoke on the "VS Voices" podcast in early November 2021, she shared that sometimes, she even got nervous asking Justin how he was doing. "I've had times where I would get nervous, (asking Justin), 'Are you okay to do this? Because you did have a time in your life where it was not okay for you and it was a dark time for you.' But he has very good self-awareness when it comes to that and is very open about it and that's all I can really ask for."

According to House Beautiful, the couple owns four properties today: two mansions in Beverly Hills, one in Ontario, and another in Toluca Lake. They spent a majority of the pandemic living in their $5 million home in Ontario.
