Shannon has worked as a professional writer for nearly seven years. At Georgetown University, Shannon was a member of the school's newspaper, The Hoya, where she contributed as a feature writer to The Fourth Edition. Shannon has since worked at a variety of outlets as a freelance journalist, and has also applied her skills to the world of scriptwriting and television writing. Shannon spent two years studying TV and Feature Film writing at UCLA's Professional Programs. There, her feature film script won Runner-Up for Best Original Screenplay as part of the school's annual contest. The following year, she won the same competition for television writing. Shannon joined the team at Static Media in 2021, where she has applied her knowledge of entertainment, television, movies, and celebrities by writing news articles.
