Karrueche Tran Granted 5-Year Restraining Order Against Ex Chris Brown
Chris Brown must keep his distance from ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
According to E! News, Tran was granted a permanent restraining order against Brown in court on June 15, 2017. The actress was reportedly present during the trial, but Brown did not attend. The judge refused to let Brown call into the hearing.
TMZ reports that Tran, 29, told the court that Brown, 28, had started acting aggressive towards her after she refused to return diamond rings he'd given her. She also alleged that he'd sent threatening messages, including one that read, "Bitch I will beat the s**t out of you." Another reportedly read, "I promise you I will make your life hell."
The celeb gossip site notes that the restraining order will remain in effect for five years.
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Tran had obtained a temporary restraining order against her ex after he allegedly assaulted her and threatened to kill her.
Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Brown's reportedly assaulted a girlfriend. In 2009, he infamously beat then-girlfriend Rihanna, later pleading guilty to domestic violence and receiving five years probation.
