The Reason Britney Spears' Fiance Didn't Get A Role On And Just Like That

Sam Ashgari might be best known as Britney Spears' fiance, but he's also someone who has been trying to tap into the entertainment industry as a film and television actor. And while he's had minor roles on television shows such as "NCIS," "The Family Business," and "Black Monday," according to his IMDb page, it was not until recently that he landed his first co-starring role in a film called "Hot Seat" with Mel Gibson, per the New York Post. Asghari even told Variety that he has big plans when it comes to his Hollywood career.

"My ultimate goal is to be the first Middle Easterner that plays a superhero. Marvel or anybody — they should give me a call," he said. "I'm doing a lot of MMA training, I'm doing a lot of gun- and stunt-training to be a well-rounded actor such as Tom Cruise, such as Jason Statham. Like I said, I want to do action, but I want to be able to do drama as well. This is my craft, and I want to accomplish it 100%."

And while Asghari's future plans certainly seem ambitious, he apparently didn't get a role on one of the hottest and most talked about reboots: the "Sex and the City" follow-up, "And Just Like That." Here's why.

And just like that... Sam Asghari didn't get the job

According to Entertainment Tonight, Sam Asghari was close to appearing on the "Sex and the City" reboot, "And Just Like That," but unfortunately lost out on the role to another actor. During the most recent episode of the HBO Max series called "Tragically Hip," Asghari shared on his Instagram Story that he auditioned for the character of Travis, who is the physical therapist that is helping Sarah Jessica Parker's character, Carrie Bradshaw, after her hip surgery. Asghari wrote, "Man, I was looking forward to this role for the reboot of 'Sex and the City,' 'And Just Like That.' Shout out to the dude that got it! It was a dope role."

And while Asghari certainly fits the role of a tall, dark, and handsome physical therapist, it was Aussie actor Ryan Cooper who got the job instead, per his IMDb page. And just like that, Asghari will certainly be looking for more jobs.
