Heather Dubrow's Daughter Kat Has Important News To Share

Fancy Pants Heather Dubrow made a splash when she returned to her old stomping grounds of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Orange County" for Season 16!

"It's surreal, honestly," Heather told EW in December 2021. "It's so odd to me that I had this secret for all these months, and then it came out and that was a thing, and then we filmed it and then [had] a little respite, and now it's coming out. It's so weird," she continued. Still, the weirdness of it all wasn't enough to make her regret it completely. When asked about why she ultimately opted to return, Heather cited her daughter, Max Dubrow. "So when my daughter Max came out as bisexual a couple of years ago, the outpouring of support and the comments were amazing. I mean, like really beautiful," she gushed. "And that started the shift for me. So when they asked me to come back, I thought, okay, well, why would I go back? ... And I thought, I have these four kids who are different genders, different sexualities. They're at places in their lives where they're figuring out who they are in the world. And if I can open up some conversations here, not just about them but how we parent, how I handle them, how we navigate these waters, maybe we can start some cool conversations and maybe even help some people," she explained.

But with Season 16 underway maybe she has a reason to return for Season 17 as well...

Kat Dubrow is a lesbian

The kids are alright!

On the heels of her big sister's declaration only one year earlier, little sis Kat Dubrow is now ready to come forth with her very own news. "Kat decided to drop in our family group text, 'By the way, I'm a lesbian,'" Heather Dubrow revealed in an interview with People in February. "I didn't see it, and I was mad because the dogs pooped in the house, so I wrote back, 'Who let the dogs poop in the house?' It was a total mom fail, and they've never let me forget that" she recalled.

Fortunately, however, it appears that the mom of four made up for the epic parenting "fail" and then some. "She's asked me trillions of questions that really show she cares. She's asked me about my pronouns. It's really easy to talk to her. It's not like I have to build up courage if I have something to tell her," Max dished about her mom in the revelatory interview. "I was really stressed about it," she added. "But I'm really grateful that I have Max as an older sister, that she has already gone through all of this. Seeing my sister be so proud, and to see her be so comfortable with herself, it just makes me feel like I have nothing to worry about." Job well done, Dubrow family!
