This Is The Rapper In The Frito-Lay Super Bowl 2022 Commercial

The Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals will go head-to-head on February 13 for one of the most highly anticipated sports events — the Super Bowl. The big game is slated to take place at SoFi Stadium and is the first time the LA area will host the annual game since 1993. Aside from fans cheering on their favorite teams, millions of people also tuning in for the explosive Pepsi Halftime Show and the eye-catching commercials that often feature some of the biggest celebrities. Considering the fact that all eyes will be on the main event, an ad during Super Bowl Sunday is going for over $6 million for a 30-second spot, per Variety.

Despite the large price tag, the ads are pouring in as the big day quickly approaches. According to NBC Los Angeles, Idris Elba will be appearing in his first Super Bowl commercial for Booking.com, Guy Fieri is partnering with Bud Light, Sam's Club will feature Kevin Hart, and Lay's is teaming up with Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd, among countless other collabs. However, there's another commercial that's bringing the heat with a very familiar face.

Megan Thee Stallion makes her Super Bowl commercial debut

Megan Thee Stallion was spotted in two Frito-Lay teasers for their Flamin' Hot Super Bowl ad, which is set to premiere during the big game. The outlet also reported that it's the first time the company will highlight its popular flavor with a massive commercial for more than one brand. The "H-Town Hottie" starts off the first teaser (above) eating a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos as she gets driven to her set. As she arrives, a production manager greets her with a few questions. "Any allergies? You know like cats, dogs?" Megan replies, "Nope." The manager continues to list off other wild animals like a deer, fox, bear, water buffalo, and even a sloth. A confused Megan continues to reply "no" before walking towards her trailer.

"It was only right that after all these years of eating hot chips Thee mf hot girl coach linked up with hot Cheetos," she said in an Instagram post

In the second teaser, cameras catch the "Body" rapper backstage walking towards her trailer while she eats a bag of Flamin' Hot Cool Ranch Doritos. When she notices her nameplate she walks up to go inside but notices the door to the trailer is locked. She jiggles it several times before the door opens and a mysterious sloth hand appears, removes her nameplate and quickly locks the door.

Megan Thee Stallion is not new to landing major brand deals

While snagging a brand deal for a major company and appearing on a Super Bowl commercial are huge accomplishments, it's not the first time Megan Thee Stallion teamed up with a worldwide corporation. In 2020, she landed a major beauty deal as the global brand ambassador for Revlon, per People. "I've always set the bar high for myself with everything I do, but to now be a brand ambassador for Revlon, it feels like a new level," she said in a statement obtained by the outlet.

The "Savage" artist also inked a deal with Popeyes in 2021 that offered a wide range of opportunities, including opening her own franchises, creating a new hot sauce — dubbed Hottie Sauce — and putting out co-branded merchandise, per AdWeek. "I'm appreciative of Popeyes commitment to empowering Black women and look forward to opening Popeyes Restaurants," said in a statement obtained by the publication. "Teaming up with Popeyes is such a milestone in my journey and evolution as an entrepreneur," she said. "I've always been a fan of the Popeyes brand."
