Nick Jonas Announces That His Father Is Now Cancer-Free
The former Jonas Brother just revealed some fortunate news about his father, Kevin Jonas, Sr.
On Sunday, Aug. 27, 2017, Nick Jonas spoke with radio and podcast host Elvis Duran for iHeartRadio's Label Defiers with Zico Coconut Water, and he opened up about his family's health.
"My father just had a journey with colon cancer and he's cancer-free now, or on the tail end of it, all is good," Nick, 24, told listeners (via Page Six).
"Being here with him when he went in to have his tumor removed was a really special thing and really important," he explained. "I had a lot of things on my schedule, but I said, 'I'm going to be here with you and walk through this with you and the family.' And it was a moment of pride for all of us to say, 'Alright, all that we been through, with the brothers, and Dad being a manager at one time,' to be able to be there with him, be a unit as a family, is something I think, we should be really proud of."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Kevin Sr. was diagnosed with cancer back in March 2017, and the entire family was quick to react, with Nick and his brother Joe flying into New York City to support their father before he underwent an operation.
After the surgery, Kevin Sr., 52, was reported to have been doing better but still required chemotherapy.
Glad to hear that Papa Jonas is doing well today!
