The Bravo Star Fans Say Jennifer Lopez Should Thank For Her Wedding

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finally tied the knot, and fans are expressing gratitude to a "Southern Charm" star for helping make it happen.

Just a few months after announcing their engagement, the "On the Floor" singer and "Justice League" actor revealed that they have exchanged "I Do's" in an intimate ceremony. In her exclusive newsletter obtained by Nicki Swift, Lopez shared with fans what happened over the weekend of July 16, saying that the couple took a trip to Las Vegas and got married. "Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world," she wrote.

"We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight. They graciously stayed open late a few minutes, let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed)." Lopez went on to explain how they exchanged vows and rings, and that they had the "best possible wedding" of their dreams.

Fans, of course, were elated, considering how Bennifer had been more than 20 years in the making. But amid all the well wishes, some people are thanking a certain Bravo star for contributing to the epic reunion.

Fans thanked Madison LeCroy for making Bennifer happen

Some fans think Madison LeCroy single-handedly destroyed Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's relationship, thereby making Bennifer's reconciliation possible. In February 2021, rumors that the pro athlete and "Southern Charm" star had been involved in an affair, but at the time, LeCroy clarified that Rodriguez "never physically cheated on his fiancée with me." She told Page Six that they have never met in person and "we are definitely innocent in this." Nevertheless, Lopez and Rodriguez broke up a month after those rumors started swirling, and come April 2021, J.Lo and Ben Affleck were seen together for the first time in years.

So, when Bennifer announced their marriage, fans could not help but joke about LeCroy. "Do you think JLo and Ben thanked Madison in their vows?" one fan quipped. "Thank you, Madison LeCroy," another joked. "Madison absolutely deserve[s] invitations to the Bennifer wedding celebration," a user tweeted. But fans have turned this into an inside joke ever since Bennifer got back together. "[I]sn't crazy that Madison from Southern Charm was the catalyst that gave us Bennifer 2.0?" a fan wrote.

Whatever the case may be, fans are just happy that Lopez and Affleck found their way back into each other's arms. They are "two very lucky people," Lopez wrote in her newsletter about their engagement. "Who got a second chance at true love." And they did, alright!

Madison LeCroy had a message for J.Lo and A. Rod

While she vehemently denied that she had physical contact with Alex Rodriguez while he was still engaged to Jennifer Lopez, Madison LeCroy offered a message to the former couple, anyway, when news broke that they had split.

In April 2021, the "Southern Charm" star shared her best wishes to the two upon finding out they have officially parted ways. "I wish them the best," she told Page Six. Around the same time, rumors of Rodriguez reaching out to LeCroy surfaced, but it was immediately debunked by the athlete's reps. "I'm not sure who's looking to benefit from these types of rumors and false stories. They are factually incorrect," his representative, Ron Berkowitz, told E! News. "Alex is busy concentrating on his businesses and his family."

Meanwhile, it seems that there are no hard feelings between Rodriguez and Lopez, as the former raved about his former fiance even long after they split. "Here's what I will tell you about Jennifer, and I was telling some of my colleagues here the other day, she's the most talented human being I've ever been around," the athlete told the Martha Stewart Podcast (via Elle) on July 13. "Hardest worker. And I think she is the greatest performer, live performer in the world today that's alive."

Madison LeCroy to Bennifer: 'You're welcome'

In a surprising turn of events, Madison LeCroy embraced her fans' humor. Even after getting dragged through all the drama, LeCroy managed to make light of it all, even joking about taking credit for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's reunion.

"I say you're welcome," the reality star quipped, per Us Weekly. "I mean, I will be honest with you. I had nothing to do with why they split, and I think everybody knows that. And if you don't know that, then that's just ridiculous, like, let's be honest." However, she did say that she'd be happy to spill all the tea when the right time comes — not that she had anything juicy to share, though. "I'm happy to tell my story," LeCroy continued. "If I'm asked the questions, yes, I will tell the truth. I will say this — the reason why I'm not bothered is because I'm innocent in that sense."

Meanwhile, Lopez chose to break free from all the drama, although she also sends her best wishes to her ex. E! News reported that she was the one who initiated the split, with an insider saying that the singer felt "at peace" with her decision. But she has no ill feelings toward Rodriguez whatsoever. "Jen really does wish Alex the best," an insider close to the star told Us Weekly. "She's completely moved on. She doesn't give any thought to Alex. Their relationship was filled with drama and that's the last thing she has time for in her life."
