Selena Gomez's Family Reportedly 'Still Getting Comfortable' With Justin Bieber Romance

The people closest to the "Wolves" singer aren't necessarily ready to accept her rekindled romance.

According to an E! News exclusive, published on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, Selena Gomez's family is still adjusting to her recently making peace with ex Justin Bieber, following her kidney transplant earlier this year.

"They both spent Thanksgiving with their families. Justin went to Canada and Selena was in Texas," a source told the website. "They are still doing really well together, but they agreed it was best for them to be with their families for the holiday."

"Selena felt it was too soon for Justin to come to Texas with her. Her family is still getting comfortable with the idea of them back together," the insider continued, adding that the two kept in touch via FaceTime over the holiday weekend. "Justin says he hopes he can spend Christmas with her but knows that it will take a very long time for her family to accept him back in."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Gomez, 25, was first spotted hanging out with Bieber, 23, in October 2017. The infamous exes dated on and off between 2011 and 2014, before their official split spiraled into an ugly feud. "They don't want to date anyone else. They both are very committed to making this work. Justin and Selena have grown up since the last time they were together," a source previously told E! News. "He's trying to change and be a better guy. We'll see what happens. Justin is changing but it's a process. He's trying."

The "Bad Liar" singer was most recently linked with The Weeknd, 27. However, rumors of an impending breakup began swirling as she and Bieber began to reconcile their complicated past, and the two called it quits in late October after 10 months together. Meanwhile, the "Sorry" hitmaker was previously rumored to have dated Kourtney Kardashian, Hailey Baldwin, and Sofia Richie.
