RHOSLC: What We Know About Jen Shah's Sons Sharrieff Jr. And Omar
Jen Shah is weeks away from receiving her prison sentence for fraud charges. "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star was arrested and charged for conspiracy to commit money laundering and conspiracy to commit a national telemarketing scheme in 2021, per Time. Shah's arrest famously played out during the Bravo show. However, the real drama has happened off-screen. Immediately after her legal issues were made public, Shah proclaimed her innocence and pleaded not guilty in court. However, Shah changed her legal strategy in July and pled guilty to her crimes.
According to Forbes, Shah could spend up to 14 years in prison. However, the reality star's legal team petitioned a judge to reduce her sentence to 36 months, given that she wasn't the "kingpin" of the fraudulent telemarketing operation, per CNN. In any case, it's clear Shah will serve at least some time in prison.
Bravo has also cut ties with Shah, which may make it more difficult for her to pay her $9 million in restitution, per People. In the grand scheme of things, Shah's financial troubles are the least of her worries. Unfortunately, Shah will likely have to spend a substantial amount of time away from her family, including her children, Sharrieff Shah Jr. and Omar Shah.
Sharrieff Shah Jr. is doing big things
Jen Shah's oldest son, Sharieff Jr., was named after her spouse of nearly three decades — and it appears he shares the same career aspirations. While Sharrieff Sr. has worked as an attorney in the past, he's currently employed by the Utah Utes football team as a co-special coordinator, according to People.
Sharrieff Jr. also works in the sports realm. According to LinkedIn, Sharrieff Jr.'s most recent role was an Orthopedic Medical Assistant at the University of Utah, although he exited the role in July 2022. Prior to that, Sharrieff Jr. spent over six years coaching the youth football team at the same university where his father works. Sharrieff Jr. also appears to have a bit of a giving streak as he's volunteered for several causes, including a hospice center and a homeless shelter. At this time, it's difficult to gauge the status of Sharrieff Jr.'s romantic life, as his Instagram's private. However, he's made frequent appearances on Jen Shah's Instagram, who appears to be quite the proud mother.
Omar Shah is a student athlete
Like Sharrieff Jr., Jen Shah proudly plasters her youngest son Omar Shah's face across all her social media accounts. Judging from her posts, Omar attends East High School and is involved in athletics like his brother and father. "Shoutout to my baby Omar on his first day of school!" Jen wrote on Instagram in August. "I love the way you proudly represent your heritage, culture, religion and family. I am so proud of the man you are becoming and the example you continue to set for our Polynesian and Black community. I love you with my entire heart!"
Unfortunately, Omar, who frequently appeared on "RHOSLC" with his mom and family, was present when Bravo's camera's captured Jen's arrest. During the disturbing scene, the teenager was filmed holding his hands up as armed FBI agents entered Jen's home (via The U.S. Sun). Since then, Jen, along with Bravo's producers, have been harshly criticized for putting Omar's safety into question by allowing him to be present during her arrest (via Heavy).
