In an exclusive statement for People, Holker wrote: "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us. Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. Joining her grief were multiple fans and celebrities who admired, loved, and respected Boss for his career, personality, and big heart. Former First Lady was one of the many who took to Twitter to share her condolences: "I was heartbroken to learn about the passing of Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, who I got to know over the years through my Let's Move! initiative and visits to 'The Ellen Show.' My heart goes out to his wife, Allison, and his three children during this difficult time."

A few days after his death, she honored him on Instagram

I feel so blessed and loved!! I love you baby and I will never take you or OUR love for granted!"

Eleven days later, she posted a selfie of the two of them. With this post, she was honoring her husband eight days after his death. Holker wrote: "My ONE and ONLY Oh how my heart aches. Holker's post goes hand in hand with what she wrote in her statement to People: "To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won't be a day that goes by that we won't honor his memory."

She honored him in a private service

On January 4, 2023, Allison Holker and Stephen "tWitch" Boss's family gathered to honor his life during a private service. E! News shared someone close to the family said, "A larger celebration of life for the friends the Stephen considers family will be put together in the future."

According to ET, the ceremony was led by Joe Smith who is the family's pastor. During the private service, many who loved Boss gave a speech, remembering his life, his work, and the way he had impacted their own lives. Among those who spoke was Holker and Weslie Fowler, their 14-year-old daughter. Comedian, author, and activist Loni Love joined the family during the service and later posted a photo of the program on her Instagram, saying: "Goodbye King TWitch."

People reported during her speech Holker said, "He was the light. He chose love, grace and kindness. And he deserves to be celebrated." According to the magazine, "Move with Kindness" wristbands were given out at the service and guests had the opportunity to donate to the organization. The Move with Kindness Foundation was established to help Holker and her children honor Boss's memory and advocate for mental health.

She has taken the time to thank fans for the support

After Stephen "tWitch" Boss's death in December 2022, many of his fans took to social media to talk about the different ways in which their lives had been touched by the DJ. Reddit user maclow3 talked about working with Boss and Allison Holker on "So You Think You Can Dance" and driving him around for a photoshoot: "By the end of the day I had even told him about a personal project I was making at the time. I dropped him off at his home and a few minutes later I got an email notification on my phone. It was a Kickstarter notification for a very generous donation that read 'much love and good luck.' It was from Stephen."

User BGN777 said, "He really seemed like one of those people who lit up a room and everyone else wanted to be around." These are some examples of the hundreds of people who tweeted and posted on different platforms to honor the way in which Boss lived his life and inspired many around him.

On February 18, 2023, a little over two months after Boss's passing, Holker shared a video on Instagram in which she thanked the fans for the support she had received in these months. "You guys have brought so much hope and inspiration to us by sharing stories and memories and moments in different ways Stephen impacted your life, and it's brought us so much hope and inspiration."

Months after his death, she's doing as well as expected

According to what a source close to Allison Holker told People, she is doing as well as can be expected given the circumstances. "Her first priority is the kids, and she is being the best mom she can be. The support from friends has been invaluable." The statement came the day after Holker took to Instagram to share a lengthy video.

Although the main point of the video was to thank fans for the support she had received throughout the weeks after Stephen "tWitch" Boss's passing, she also discussed how she was doing during this very challenging and emotional time. "It's going to feel a little bit different, but we know that that's our purpose, and we'll still do that to this day. And I hope that we can remember the feeling he gave us, and that we can still move from there. We can still move and choose love ... I will always be there for you guys. And I appreciate you being there for us at this moment. It goes a really far way for us. So thank you."

A month before her video, she posted a reel honoring her husband, remembering Boss for who he was and what he brought to the world. "We will forever remember you as the true beacon of light that you were and we will continue to cast your light and love throughout the world."

She had to file for half of estate

When Stephen "tWitch" Boss passed away, he did so without a will which meant complications for Allison Holker when she tried to get his estate in order. According to People, Holker had to file a motion called California Spousal Property Petition with the Superior Court of California in order to claim half of their joint estate. The petition states, "This includes any interest in a trade or business name of any unincorporated business or an interest in any unincorporated business that the deceased partner was operating or managing at the time of death."

Los Angeles Times reported Holker had to provide documentation proving that she was indeed Boss's wife and that he hadn't left a written will. This petition will confirm and determine the property belongs and should be attributed to the surviving spouse (Holker). The estate she is filing for includes the investment account from his production company, royalties for any work he has done, and half of their community property.

Daughter Weslie also honored Boss

When Stephen "tWitch" Boss met Allison Holker, she had a daughter from a previous relationship, Weslie. The couple met in 2010 and were married by 2013. Shortly after their wedding, and before they welcomed their children Maddox and Zaia, Boss adopted Weslie.

Up until Boss' passing, Weslie was pretty active on social media, particularly her TikTok where she shared solo videos or with her friends. In some of her videos, followers were able to see her parents at home or on a family outing, and her younger siblings. However, after the death of Boss, she took a break from posting on social media. The last video she posted was the day her father died and she was singing along to the song "Kill Bill" by SZA with the caption "tess told me to post."

A little over two months later, on February 20, 2023, she reappeared on social media. This time around, she posted a selfie video to the song "Surf" by Mac Miller. In it, she can be seen holding her phone with a photo of herself with Boss. The caption read "i miss u." Her mother was one of the first to comment, saying, "I love you babygirl always and forever."
