Sofia Richie Addresses Scott Disick Breakup Rumors

Sofia Richie is clarifying her current relationship status.

On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, the model took to her Instagram Stories to address recent reports that she and boyfriend Scott Disick had supposedly called it quits.

"Whole heart," she wrote, captioning a snapshot of herself sitting in the reality TV star's lap on a private plane, as they wrapped their arms around one another (via Entertainment Tonight). In a follow-up post, Richie wrote, "Never believe the internet."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, rumors that Disick, 35, and Richie, 19, had split first surfaced on Saturday, June 2, 2018, after the dad-of-three was caught allegedly cheating in Miami, Fla.

The reported infidelity had "caused huge problems in their relationship," an Us Weekly source said at the time. The insider added that the pair had been "trying to work things out" when Disick was spotted getting cozy with a mystery blonde at a listening party for Kanye West's new album, Ye, in Wyoming last week.

According to an ET source, "Sofia was upset with Scott after photos of him cuddling another girl surfaced," adding that she had "decided it was best to take some time away from Scott, and left his house to spend time with her family and friends."

"Scott and Sofia discussed Wyoming, and Scott explained that the girl he was talking to was a girl he has known for years and nothing happened," the insider went on. "Although Sofia is upset, she felt that this incident wasn't enough to end the relationship. The two are still together, but it's a bit tense right now."

Prior to Richie speaking out on the breakup speculation, Disick took to his Instagram Stories on Monday, June 4, to deny the claims. "We had no idea we even broke up," he wrote, captioning a snapshot of a TMZ article, which alleged they were still together amid conflicting reports. "But thanks for thinking of us."

Later that day, the two were seen grabbing lunch together in Malibu, Calif. According to an E! News eyewitness, they were "smiling" and "looked happy" during the afternoon outing.

Due to their 15-year age difference, Disick and Richie made headlines when they went public with their relationship last September. Since then, the teen model's father, Lionel Richie, has made it known in multiple interviews that he's not necessarily on board with his daughter's high-profile romance.
