What Kendall Jenner's Relationship With Bad Bunny Is Really Like

By now you're probably familiar with Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny's rumored romance. The pair have been spotted on numerous dates and seem to be working toward a relationship. Before Jenner and Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) started getting to know one another, they were both in long-term relationships.

Jenner was previously dating Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker. The former couple was first spotted in 2020 while on a road trip through Arizona. They seemingly confirmed their relationship after Booker posed for photos with Jenner at her 25th birthday party. The couple went on to make their relationship a bit more public by frequently posting about each other on social media. They later parted ways in November 2022.

Before dating Jenner, Bad Bunny was in a four-year-long relationship with Gabriela Berlingeri. The couple met in a restaurant while the "Efecto" singer was out for dinner with family. It took a while for the pair to go public, but when they did, it was clear they were serious about each other. Bad Bunny revealed he enjoyed a cozy quarantine with Berlingeri during an interview with Rolling Stone in 2020. "I am happy with her," the rapper shared. [People] don't know she has helped me a lot in emotional aspects when I needed it the most."

Are Jenner and Bad Bunny's ill-fated former relationships an indication of how they will end? We'll let you decide. This is what Kendall Jenner's relationship with Bad Bunny is really like.

Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny's relationship was revealed by DeuxMoi

Chaos erupted in February 2023 after the celebrity gossip Instagram account DeuxMoi shared juicy details about a rumored PDA session involving Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny. An anonymous source initially sent the account a blind item that didn't reveal the identity of the mystery woman involved. "This single, famous model sister was seen playing tonsil hockey with Bad Bunny at a private L.A. club last night," the blind item read according to an episode of DeuxMoi's "Deux U" podcast.

The anonymous woman behind DeuxMoi later revealed she believed Jenner was the model mentioned. "So I'm revealing it was Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny, I have witnesses on the scene who saw her in the club," she said during the podcast episode. While this romance was not confirmed at the time, fans didn't hesitate to flood social media with their opinions of the rumored couple. One user took to Twitter to share, "bad bunny making out w Kendall Jenner will actually be my last straw." Another fan penned, "KENDALL JENNER IS GONNA CATCH THESE HANDS IF THE RUMORS ARE TRUE. WHY BENITO WHYYYYY."

Some fans continued the conversation over on Reddit, and Jenner wasn't the only one who was criticized. One Reddit user wrote, "benito is soooooooo messy he's gonna break her heart" in reference to Bad Bunny. "He does mention kardashian in one of his songs." It might be safe to say that the reactions to this rumored couple were mixed.

Bad Bunny is 'different' from Kendall Jenner's past lovers

Details of the early days of Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny's rumored relationship may have been revealed by anonymous sources who allegedly know all about the couple's love life. In February 2023, one unnamed informant told People, "Kendall recently started hanging out with him. They were introduced by friends. He moved to L.A. a few weeks ago and bought a house." They added, "She likes him and is having fun. He is different from guys that she dated in the past. He is very charming." If there's any truth to these claims, it looks like there might be hope for something more serious for this pair.

A separate source gave Entertainment Tonight an alleged run-down of the couple's romance that same month. "Kendall and Bad Bunny are attracted to each other and definitely have a flirty vibe," they claimed. "It is still new, but they're enjoying each other's company and like each other. They have mutual friends and had dinner with Hailey, Justin and friends at Wally's in Beverly Hills on Saturday night. It's been fun for both of them so far." Jenner and Bad Bunny were in fact photographed leaving Wally's in Beverly Hills following what appeared to be a double date with Justin and Hailey Bieber. The duo seems to be keeping their romance very private, so these claims will have to hold fans over until the stars share more details about their relationship with the public.

Bad Bunny is already friendly with Kendall Jenner's family

Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner's relationship seemed to be moving rather quickly in the beginning because one of their first public outings suggested they were already friendly with each other's family. The stars were spotted enjoying a night out at Sushi Park in West Hollywood in March 2023. Photos revealed the pair were accompanied by Kylie Jenner and a group of friends. Kendall seemingly wasn't camera shy as she hugged Bad Bunny in front of paparazzi and kissed him goodbye. It looks like Kylie might approve of the relationship. We'll have to wait and see if the rest of the family is willing to share their opinions on an episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians."

Fans have speculated that Kris Jenner is also rooting for the relationship. They even suggested she's pulling strings behind the scenes to boost Bad Bunny's career. This idea might seem a bit far-fetched, but fans seem to think they have proof of Kris' scheme. In March 2023, "The Late Late Show with James Corden" announced Bad Bunny would make an appearance on its Carpool Karaoke segment. Some believed Kris orchestrated this. "Mama Kris definitely had her hand in this!," one fan wrote online (via The U.S. Sun) Another added, "James is connected to one of the production companies that produces the Hulu show, I wouldn't say it's a coincidence at all."

Their relationship wasn't all that serious at first

Even though Bad Bunny met Kendall Jenner's family during that aforementioned sushi night, they reportedly weren't all that serious yet. This could explain why they appeared to be keeping things low-key. An unnamed source shared alleged details about the status of their relationship with Us Weekly. "Things are not official between Kendall and Bad Bunny, but they're seeing each other on a regular basis and getting to know each other better," they told the outlet in March 2023.

They added, "It's not super serious, but she likes him and is open to seeing where things go with him. Kendall appreciates how he treats her with respect and he makes her laugh." They made more claims about how Jenner felt about her new fling in the beginning. "He's very charming and she thinks he's a great guy," the anonymous informant said. "Although things are still fairly new, she definitely sees potential."

The couple may not have been in any rush to take things to the next level because Jenner reportedly has no problem being single. After parting ways with ex-boyfriend Blake Griffin, the model enjoyed short-lived flings with Anwar Hadid and Ben Simmons. "Kendall is having fun," an unnamed source claimed at the time, per People. "She doesn't want a serious relationship and is just enjoying being single. She feels that whenever she has been serious about guys in the past, it's kind of a mess and doesn't work out."

She introduced Bad Bunny to one of her favorite hobbies

If you're an avid "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" or "The Kardashians" watcher, you probably know that Kendall Jenner is a self-proclaimed horse girl. The model was even once gifted a pony on Christmas. "I'm a horse girl, literally," Jenner told The Cut in 2019. "I grew up riding horses. So for my whole entire life I would beg my parents to please get me a pony. I wasn't just some little girl who was like, 'I need a pony for no reason.' It was my life. I ate, breathed, and slept horses. And I wanted one so bad."

Jenner shared her love for horses with Bad Bunny when she and the musician went horseback riding at the Hidden Hills Equestrian Center in Bonsall, California. Photos of the couple posted by TMZ revealed Jenner took the lead while her beau wrapped his arms around her. Bad Bunny took a turn horseback riding solo while Jenner captured the sweet moment by snapping pics. She also took selfies with the rapper as they posed with the same horse. Jenner may have been giving Bad Bunny horseback riding lessons because she took on the hobby years ago.

Their relationship wasn't well received by fans

We can't blame Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny for keeping their relationship private in the beginning. The public can be cruel and social media users typically aren't afraid to share their opinions on celebrities' romances. The duo faced a decent amount of hate after photos of them together first surfaced. One Twitter user shared, "Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny probably don't share one single damn thing in common this relationship makes no sense." Another penned, "Bad Bunny a fraud.. mf disappointing us on international women's day."

The mean comments reportedly got so bad that Jenner's fans worried about what would happen when the couple officially confirmed their relationship. "Gonna be her biggest relationship thus far, I know Kris [Jenner] is loving this," one fan wrote online (via The U.S. Sun) "I feel for her though because she's about to be harassed more than she ever has before. Benito fans are already mad as h**l." Another fan suggested that the model might receive more hate from Bad Bunny's fans than she did from Harry Styles' fans. You might recall that Styles and Jenner reportedly dated from 2013 to 2016.

According to The U.S. Sun, another fan chimed in and offered a theory for why Jenner might be receiving so many mean comments. "It's not about being jealous," they penned. "Latinos are upset because he's all about Latino proudness but he's dating the most unseasoned of the Kardashians/Jenners."

Bad Bunny seemingly dissed Kendall Jenner's ex in a song

Bad Bunny made a bold move when he seemingly dissed Kendall Jenner's ex, Phoenix Suns player Devin Booker. The musician can be heard (possibly) mentioning the NBA star in Eladio Carrión's song "Coco Chanel." "I'm not bad, baby that's a gimmick / But the sun in Puerto Rico is hotter than in Phoenix / She knows it," Bad Bunny said in the song, according to a Spanish-to-English translation shared by Capital FM. It's believed that the "hotter than in Phoenix" line references Devin Booker's NBA team, the Phoenix Suns.

It turns out Booker caught wind of the song's lyrics, and he wasn't happy about it. An Instagram user shared a post about Bad Bunny lyrics. "#BadBunny just sent some subliminals to #DevinBooker on his verse on 'Coco Chanel,' they penned in the caption. "Do y'all think he wants everyone to know he's dating #KendallJenner now!?" Booker took to the comments to share his thoughts. "He worried about another MAN again," he wrote (then quickly deleted).

Jenner might actually be a bit upset about the rumored beef between her beau and her ex. Outlets speculated that a blind item sent into DeuxMoi (via Cosmopolitan) could be about the couple. "Sources reveal that she's been left mortified after her new fling released some not-so-nice lyrics about her ex-boyfriend, whom she recently ended a long-term relationship with," the blind item read in part.
