Daniel Radcliffe Started Dating Erin Darke Not Long After Splitting With His Ex

Similar to "Harry Potter," Daniel Radcliffe seems to have his own set of love potions as he has been involved in several relationships. Although many fans wouldn't even know as the actor has been in a long-term relationship with fellow actor, Erin Darke.

According to People, the couple first met while filming the 2013 movie, "Kill Your Darlings." Radcliffe and Darke played one another's love interest, and it was clear that the two had a spark that went beyond just the cameras. The "Harry Potter" actor knew it from the start as he told Playboy, "There's no acting going on — not from my end, anyway. There's a moment when she makes me laugh, and I'm laughing as me and not as my character. She was incredibly funny and smart. I knew I was in trouble." Not long after they wrapped the film, the couple began their relationship and have only continued to grow together over time.

Radcliffe and Darke have been together for nearly a decade now, and they are embarking on a new journey with one another. In March 2023, Radcliffe's reps confirmed to People that the couple was expecting their first child together. Just a month later, the pair welcomed their baby, per USA Today. Radcliffe and Darke's romance seems picturesque, but many would be shocked to discover that "The Lost City" actor had jumped quickly from another relationship into the one he currently has with Darke.

In 2007, on the set of "Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince," the actor met production assistant and future girlfriend, Rosanne Coker, per the Daily Mail. The pair didn't immediately strike a romance as it had developed over time. But by 2011, the couple began their relationship as Coker traveled far and wide just to see Radcliffe.

The pair were madly in love, and Radcliffe even confessed his feelings to Parade. He said, "When Rosie's here, every day seems better. Ultimately, I think, it comes down to that—having somebody in your life who makes you happier than you thought you could be. When you find somebody like Rosie, who is smart, kind, loving, and not crazy, you hang on to her." The couple was together for nearly two years, and despite thinking wedding bells may be in their future, the pair called it quits.

Coker's father, Malcolm, confirmed the split in October 2012 to the Daily Mail, and it was taking a toll on the production assistant. Malcolm shared, "She's [Rosanne] trying to move on. She won't want to talk about it." Amidst the couple's split, rumors swirled that "The Woman in Black" actor was already exploring a relationship with Erin Darke. While the timeline of it all is a bit foggy, Radcliffe was seen getting cozy with Darke just months after his recent breakup.

While dating Rosanne Coker, the actor admitted to Parade he can be a "useless" boyfriend at times.

Radcliffe shared, "I'm not an easy person to love. There are lots of times when I'm a very good boyfriend, but there are times when I'm useless." The actor elaborated on what it was that made him so terrible at being a boyfriend, and it may surprise you. He told Parade, "I mean, I'm a mess around the house. I talk nonstop. I become obsessed with things. This year it's fantasy football, which means Rosie has to listen to me talking 24 hours a day about this team." Regardless of the actor's faults, Coker was willing to put up with it because of how much she loved him.

But, as we know, the couple ended up calling it quits in 2012. With Radcliffe embarking on a new relationship with Erin Darke just months after their split, it only seemed to put the nail in the coffin that he wasn't a great boyfriend – at least to Cooker. But even so, Cooker has moved on with her life. Although she remains incredibly private about her life, her IMDb shows that she has continued to work on some of the biggest projects in film.
