How Bruce Willis' Wife Emma Heming Really Felt About His Marriage To Demi Moore

Blended families are nothing new in Hollywood. Many celebrity couples have managed to successfully merge their families when entering new relationships and marriages, and have time and time again proved that it can work, so long as everyone is a willing participant.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, both of whom have multiple kids from previous marriages, gushed about how fun it is to see their families get along well. "We have blended families, doubled the people, doubled the fun, doubled the love, doubled the presents and tripled the chaos!!" Lopez wrote in her newsletter. Gwyneth Paltrow, who had two children with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin before marrying current husband Brad Falchuk, admitted that it can take time to get used to the setup, but it all works out in the end. "We took a year to let everybody [in the family] take it in and let the dust settle," she told InStyle.

It's the same for Emma Heming and Bruce Willis. The "Die Hard" actor already had three children with ex-wife Demi Moore before tying the knot with Heming, and has welcomed two more daughters since. But the thing about this trio's blended family is Moore is still very much involved in everyone's lives. There's no jealousy on Heming's part either. In fact, she admitted that she's a big fan of Moore and Willis' previous relationship.

Emma Heming admired Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's relationship

It's pretty clear that there's no animosity between Emma Heming and Demi Moore despite having a common denominator: being Bruce Willis' wife. In April 2023, the model shared on her Instagram Story an old photo (pictured above) of both Willis and Moore from when they were a couple. "Yeah. Me too. I liked them together as well," she wrote in the caption, along with a bunch of heart emojis.

No one can really blame her since Moore and Willis were an It Couple in the '90s. The two tied the knot in 1987 after only four months of dating, with Moore writing in "Inside Out," her memoir, that it had been a spur-of-the-moment decision. "We were moving to the gambling tables when Bruce said, 'I think we should get married.' We'd been joking about it on the flight there, but suddenly it didn't seem like he was kidding," Moore recalled. In their 13 years of marriage, they had three children: Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah.

The former couple ended their marriage in 2000, but they managed to forge a strong friendship for the sake of their kids. "I still love Demi. We're very close," Willis told Rolling Stone. "We have three children whom we will continue to raise together, and we're probably as close now as we ever were. We realize we have a lifelong commitment to our kids. Our friendship continues. The institution has been set aside."

Are Emma Heming and Demi Moore friends?

If Demi Moore and Bruce Willis are friends, Moore and Emma Heming are "sisters." In an Instagram post, the "Ghost" star wrote that Heming is "family who I am honored to call a friend." She also said that they are "mothers united, sisters bonded on this crazy adventure of life," and noted how much she admires Heming for being a "beautiful mother dedicated to her family" and "an absolutely gorgeous woman."

Heming, for her part, considers Moore one of the most important people in her life, too. When she and Willis renewed their vows on their 10th anniversary, she said that they refused to do it without Moore's presence. "She welcomed me into her family as I welcomed her into ours," she told Us Weekly, adding that she admires how her husband and Moore have worked through their differences and created a beautiful co-parenting relationship through the years. "I learned so much from that and grew so much from watching that. It was important for her to be there."

People close to the Willis family also confirmed that Heming and Moore are indeed close. "Demi and Emma are very close. They have vacationed together many times in the past and get along great," a source told shared with People. "It really is one happy family."
