G-Eazy Addresses Demi Lovato Dating Rumors After Halsey Split

G-Eazy is setting the record straight.

While speaking with Entertainment Tonight at the 2018 ESPY Awards on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, the "Him & I" rapper addressed rumors that he and Demi Lovato are dating following his recent split from longtime girlfriend Halsey.

"It's just one of those things that comes with the territory," he said of the continued speculation surrounding his love life. "You trade in your anonymity in exchange for some of your success in the public eye. You have to remember the blessings and remember how grateful you are to be here in the first place and understand some of that is just what comes with the territory."

G-Eazy, 29, and Lovato, 25, were reportedly seen holding hands outside of a nightclub in Los Angeles over the weekend. However, when asked whether the two were together, the rapper simply told the publication, "[She's] just a friend."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Halsey (real name Ashley Frangipane) and G-Eazy (real name Gerald Earl Gillum) called it quits after one year of dating in early July 2018. At the time, the "New Americana" singer confirmed their breakup on social media.

"I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel the need to inform my fans," she told her fans on her Instagram Story. "G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart." Halsey, 23, added, "I'm eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and my career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time."

G-Eazy, who previously spoke out on his arrest for assault and drug possession in Sweden earlier this year, isn't the only celeb to recently stir speculation of a new relationship. Avengers: Infinity War star Chris Pratt was romantically linked with Katherine Schwarzenegger earlier this month. According to an Entertainment Tonight source, the rumored pair are "casually dating," but have been taking things slow amid his divorce from Anna Faris. Meanwhile, Pratt's fellow Marvel star, Choe Bennet, recently confirmed her relationship with controversial YouTuber Logan Paul following online speculation.
