Rappers Cardi B And Offset Call It Quits

It's over between Cardi B and Offset.

On Tuesday evening, Dec. 4, 2018, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper took to Instagram to announce that she and the Migos rapper have called it quits after one year of marriage.

"So everybody been bugging me and everything and you know, I've been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now and we're really good friends and you know we're really good business partners," Cardi B (real name Belcalis Almánzar) said in a video to her 36.6 million followers, which she captioned with, "There you go..peace and love."

The "Be careful" hitmaker continued, "He's always somebody that I run to to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven't been working out between us for a long time and it's nobody's fault."

She added, "I guess we grew out of love, but we're not together anymore. I don't know. It might take time to get a divorce and I'm gonna always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter's father and yah."

For his part, Offset simply wrote in the comments section, "Y'all won" (via E! News).

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Cardi B and Offset, both 26, secretly tied the knot last fall, just weeks before Offset publicly proposed while on stage at a concert in Philadelphia in October 2017. The former couple share one child together, daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, whom they welcomed in July 2018.

News of their split comes on the heels of potential legal trouble for Cardi B, who received a warning from a judge earlier this week after skipping her latest court hearing in an ongoing case. The "I Like It" rapper previously turned herself into the police in October 2018 over her alleged involvement in a strip club brawl in late August, and currently faces two misdemeanor charges for reckless endangerment and third-degree assault. If she's a no-show at her rescheduled court date this Friday, Dec. 7, she may risk arrest.

Sadly, these two aren't the only celeb pairing to split in recent weeks. Television personality Ross Mathews and his longtime boyfriend, stylist Salvador Camarena, revealed that they'd broken up in late November after nearly 10 years together. As Mathews wrote to his social media followers at the time, "This split is amicable and filled with kindness, compassion and a genuine love for one another."
