Crazy Things Ellen Got Celebs To Confess

We owe Ellen DeGeneres a whole lot. The talk show host first introduced us to Justin Bieber (with a little help from Usher), and c'mon, where would we be without the Biebs? According to People, David Spade even once confused DeGeneres for Bieber after partaking in a little medical marijuana. But we digress. Though DeGeneres' viral finds and booming YouTube channel have boosted her popularity, the talk show host also has a knack for coaxing celebrities into outrageous confessions.

Segments such as "Never Have I Ever" and "Burning Questions" are catered toward owning up to the insane and shameful. For celebs like Drake and Jared Leto, this means finally telling the truth about on-tour hookups. For others, like Kelly Clarkson, it's revealing the worst thing she's ever done. From spilling the beans about secret flings and deepest fears to sharing sex secrets in front of a parent, brace yourself for the craziest things Ellen got celebs to confess.

Kristen Bell is irrationally obsessed with sloths

There's one thing we do know if Kristen Bell ends up making it to the Good Place (and let's be real, the voice of Gossip Girl should be automatically admitted). Her heaven would be utterly filled with sloths. Yes, we're talking about those adorable, slow, sleepy tree huggers that have an entire ecosystem living on their backs. The creatures are so cute that they make Bell weep — literally.

In a 2012 episode of The Ellen Show, the Frozen actress revealed that she's obsessed with sloths in a way that someone who's yet to meet a sloth would probably think is absurd. Bell shared a super cute story about her husband, actor Dax Shepard, introducing her to one of the slow-moving creatures as a birthday surprise. The end result was Bell hysterically crying on a home video, which viewers also got to see.

"I didn't know how to process that because my entire life had been waiting for this moment where I would get to interact — I'm serious — with a sloth," she told DeGeneres "... So I am sitting on bed knowing that a sloth is here ... I start to have a full-fledged panic attack. I don't know how to compete with all this emotion, so I just kinda crawl up on the bed, and I'm crying so hard..." If that's what she's like when she's happy, what happens when she's sad?

Channing Tatum is terrified of porcelain dolls

We're all scared of something: heights, the dark, high-interest student loans. Though you might think there's little left for Magic Mike to be afraid of after conquering public nudity, you'd be wrong. Actor Channing Tatum is surprisingly terrified of singing, but that's not his deepest, darkest fear. Apparently, all it takes to take him down is a well-placed porcelain doll.

In a 2014 episode of The Ellen Show, Tatum rather bashfully revealed that his doll phobia was partially sparked by Friday the 13th. "I just think they're freaky. I just think they're really super freaky," he told DeGeneres. "They have like real eyes, and they look real, and I just imagine when I walk by them, their heads turn with you the whole time."

Of course, DeGeneres prepared to surprise him with the creepiest porcelain dolls on the market. Tatum curled up on his chair and asked, "Why did someone make that?" We're sort of wondering the same thing. DeGeneres then wrestled him in an attempt to get him to touch it. It's safe to say Tatum never plans to star in an Annabelle film.

Justin Timberlake hooked up with a Spice Girl

Everyone has their favorite Spice Girl. We're just not sure which one is Justin Timberlake's. In a 2018 episode of The Ellen Show, the man of the woods admitted he hooked up with a Spice Girl back in the age of *NSYNC. What we really want to know is: was it B.B. (before Britney) or A.B. (after Britney).

Timberlake confessed alongside his fellow boy banders during one of DeGeneres' famed "Never Have I Ever" segments. While all the boys admitted they hooked up in their tour bus, JT was the sole *NSYNC member to turn his paddle around to "I have" when asked "Never have I ever hooked up with a Spice Girl." So, who was it? DeGeneres didn't follow up, but Vulture did some deep digging and believes all signs point to Baby Spice (aka Emma Bunton).

According to Lance Bass' Instagram post, the boys met the Spice Girls in 1996 when both groups released their first singles. That gives Timberlake three years to get close and personal with Bunton before making it official with Britney Spears. Perhaps Baby Spice and JT got together in 2004 — that's when Bunton told Jonathan Ross she'd been "hanging out and having fun" with the "Cry Me a River" singer.

Miley Cyrus doesn't like her engagement ring

Miley Cyrus reportedly wed longtime fiancé Liam Hemsworth in a secret ceremony on Christmas Eve in 2018. Everything was perfect — from her simple wedding dress to the low-key feel and mylar balloons — except for her engagement ring. That's right: Cyrus might love Hemsworth, but she apparently doesn't love his taste in jewelry.

In a 2016 Ellen Show appearance (via Billboard), the "Malibu" singer admitted she isn't fond of her 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond engagement ring. "It's very weird because this is like real jewelry, and most of my jewelry is made out of like gummy bears and cotton candy, and they don't look that good together 'cause they kind of mix up," Cyrus said. "So, sometimes I like replace it with an actual, like, unicorn or a Looney Tune, and [Hemsworth's] kind of like, 'What's going on?' It's like, well, this isn't really my aesthetic, but I'll wear it 'cause you love me." Here's hoping Cyrus' wedding band is made out of a sour straw.

George Clooney likes women of a certain age

We really didn't think actor George Clooney was going to come out looking more scandalous than music siren Rihanna, but there were many years before Amal. Leave it to DeGeneres to remind us of those bachelor days and draw out the dirt. In a 2016 "Never Have I Ever" segment, both stars admitted to baring it all in very different circumstances.

Rihanna owned up to texting a nude selfie, while Clooney admitted to e-mailing and Instagramming nude photos, and it got saucier from there. He was also apparently the sole person in that segment who swam naked in Lake Como (Clooney owns a home there). All three stars admitted they had never hooked up with someone over the age of 50, but keep in mind that Clooney was in his mid-fifties at the time, and DeGeneres was in her late fifties. "It's just wrong. It's wrong. It's just wrong," Clooney said. He also made the embarrassing admission that he's forgotten the name of someone he's hooked up with, but chalked it up to being "drunk before noon."

Jennifer Aniston has a nude habit

Jennifer Aniston is no stranger to Ellen Show confessions. In 2016, the actress admitted she joined the mile high club during one of DeGeneres' famed "Never Have I Ever" segments. According to E! News, Aniston admitted to "doing it in the cockpit" with a pilot. Saucy! (Too bad it never happened.) Aniston later admitted it was "a goof," but that doesn't mean she never made a shockingly honest confession to the talk show host.

Two years after goofing around with "Never Have I Ever," Aniston owned up to a particularly banal nude habit and gave us the run-down on her less-than-glamorous job before hitting it big with Friends. Apparently, the weirdest way she's ever made money was cutting people's hair for $10 a pop in the eighth and ninth grade. Ironic, considering years later, everyone would be walking around with "the Rachel." Aniston also admitted that she likes to watch TV in the buff. "Is that weird? I mean at night, you get into bed, and you watch TV," she told DeGeneres.

P. Diddy was a bedwetter

According to The New York Post, P. Diddy went from "drug dealer to rap's Gatsby." He's got an estimated $820 million net worth and enough swagger to make the water around his multi-million dollar yacht ice cold. He just better not fall asleep while dipping a toe in. Though P. Diddy is a bad boy for life, this mogul used to wet the bed — and he credits his bladder control issues for his coolness as an adult.

There aren't too many of us willing to admit on television that we suffered potty problems, but DeGeneres has a way of knocking the embarrassing truth out of our favorite celebs. Diddy revealed the culprit behind his damp sheets in a 2013 episode of The Ellen Show"One thing I want to say is that I grew up as a Kool-Aid kid. I never drank water. I used to pour like a half a pound of sugar into the Kool-Aid. Besides it having me bouncing off the walls, I used to be a bedwetter, okay?" He added. "...I went on this quest to stop wetting the bed, and the first day I had a sleepover, and I didn't wet the bed, it was like one of the greatest days of my life, and it gave me the swagger that I have today because I stopped wetting the bed."

Chrissy Teigen hates her feet

Chrissy Teigen was one of Glamour's Women of the Year in 2018. The model is known for her beauty and wit (Check out her hilarious Twitter account). Despite her modeling success, which includes a coveted spot in the 2014 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, this star has a major insecurity.

In a 2018 interview on The Ellen Show, Teigen revealed that she absolutely hates her feet. While modeling for Sports Illustrated, she'd bury them in the sand so they couldn't be seen. She even went as far as writing "no feet" in her contract, but she apparently wears open-toed shoes on-screen because she doesn't think anyone will look that close. (Admit it, you totally will now.)

"I have, uhm, like Asian jungle feet, like we're meant to climb trees," she told DeGeneres. "...John [Legend] always said if I die — this is a terrible story already — instead, all he has to do in, like, the morgue, instead of lifting up the sheet on the face, he'll just do it the other way. He can tell by my feet." There you have it. Women of the Year are just as insecure as the rest of us.

Drake and Jared Leto have hooked up with fans on tour

To anyone still hoping: You may actually have a chance with Drake or Jared Leto, though the latter has been known to mail his co-workers dead animals, so maybe you'd want to swipe left. In a 2016 "Never Have I Ever" segment, DeGeneres got the two musicians to admit they've hooked up with fans while on tour. Apparently, when Leto isn't parading around like Jesus on the red carpet, he's a walking-on-water, rock-star cliché. And Aubrey Graham is cleaning up since graduating from Degrassi.

Like usual, the talk show interview covered everything from making out and waxing to nude selfies. While we expected Drake to get in his feelings, Leto was a little more bashful, pretending he hadn't hooked up with a fan on tour before eventually admitting that he did. Leto also admitted to accidentally sending a dirty text to the wrong person. "The shame," he said. Imagine being on the receiving end.

Kelly Clarkson dipped mid-date

"Since You've Been Gone" has a whole new meaning after Kelly Clarkson's scandalous admission on The Ellen Show. Though the singer is now a happily married mother of two, she was once navigating the difficult world of teenage dating, which led her to do the "worst thing" she's ever done. After a date at Bennigans, Clarkson proved rom-com tropes really do stem from a place of truth and that she may, in fact, be "going straight to hell."

In a 2016 episode of The Ellen Show, Clarkson was promised $10,000 to support a breast cancer charity, but only if she revealed a celebrity confession she's never told anyone before. Her scandalous secret? She once dipped out in the middle of a date. "I'm almost afraid to tell you this 'cause I'm a horrible human. Like, this is a horrible human story, but I was 18, and I'd literally been on two dates in my life and this was the second one," she said. Her date was shorter than her. "I was like whatever. I obviously went out with you so it didn't bother me, but he proceeded to talk about his height for like a solid hour, and I withstood an hour, and then I went to the bathroom and I left."

Amy Schumer kisses and tells

Amy Schumer is always very candid. The star has pretty much perfected a raunchy brand of comedy that holds nothing back, but that doesn't mean she's always sharing scandalous jokes in front of her parents. Considering she's currently with child, we're guessing mom and dad at least know their daughter has partaken in the act, but just in case they didn't, Schumer got TMI in a 2018 episode of The Ellen Show. The comedian kissed-and-told during a "Burning Questions" segment while her mama sat in the audience.

In the segment, Schumer admitted she's scared of trying lots of drugs and obsessed with the The Great British Baking Show, a favorite low-stakes millennial pastime. Then things started to get weird. When asked the craziest place she's had sex, Schumer unabashedly answered "my butt." She then claimed — with a totally straight face — that her spouse gives the best "head." Her mother disapprovingly shook her head in the audience and covered her mouth. Apparently, Schumer forgot she was there. "Can I take the stuff about the butt and everything back?" she asked, before going on to reveal that her favorite part of her husband's body is his penis.

Sorry, ma! There's no winning, here.
