The Real Reason Kylie Jenner And Travis Scott Called It Quits

The ladies of the Kardashian-Jenner family may be known for their on-screen antics and fair share of brutal breakups, but there's thankfully — albeit somewhat surprisingly — no drama to see here! According to a TMZ exclusive, published on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, Kylie Jenner's recent split from her longtime beau, rapper Travis Scott, was reportedly about as amicable as could be.

Sources cited by the gossip rag claimed, "Simply put ... they fell out of love." TMZ explained that the former couple reportedly called it quits "weeks ago, following a very long honeymoon phase that was full of love, touring, going on vacations and of course ... raising their daughter, Stormi, together." However, the media outlet's insiders went on to note that "everything slowed down" once the family of three settled back into their usual routine this past August, when Jenner and Scott were supposedly "confronted by the grind of normal life ... and things felt different between them."

After being first romantically linked in April 2017, Jenner, 22, and Scott, 28, welcomed their first child together, daughter Stormi Webster, the following February. Over the course of their nearly two-and-a-half-year relationship, the celeb parents have dodged multiple rumors about marriage and baby no. 2

Just a day after the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and little Stormi were spotted attending Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber's second wedding sans Scott on Monday, Sept. 30, 2019, TMZ reported that the longtime pairing had called it quits. The now-exes were last publicly seen together in late August while attending the premiere of the musician's Netflix documentary, Look Mom, I Can Fly, where their only child notably made her red carpet debut.

Kylie Jenner breaks her silence on Travis Scott split

The reality of Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott's decision to call it quits might be drama-free, but leave it to social media and tabloid culture to make a mountain out of a molehill.

The Kylie Cosmetics mogul was spotted hanging out with her old flame, rapper Tyga, shortly after her breakup with Scott rocked the Internet — and it probably goes without saying that Twitter lost it over the timing of this admittedly surprising move. However, E! News reports that the meeting in question wasn't "as salacious as [it] might sound" considering it was simply an impromptu group outing with mutual friends during Jenner's girls night out. According to a source cited by the media outlet, "Nothing romantic is going on."

Anonymous insiders weighing in aside, the report and subsequent social media response prompted the Life of Kylie alum to break her silence on her recent split. "The internet makes everything 100 times more dramatic than what it really is," Jenner tweeted out on Thursday, Oct. 3. "There was no '2am date with Tyga'. You see me drop two of my friends off at a studio that he happened to be at."

"Travis and i are on great terms and our main focus right now is Stormi," the proud mom wrote in a follow-up tweet, adding,

‼️

"Our friendship and our daughter is priority."

What does Kylie and Travis' breakup mean for little Stormi?

Don't expect to see Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott battling things out in court when it comes to custody of little Stormi Webster — according to multiple publications, these amicable exes reportedly plan to split custody equally.

Explaining that the "Butterfly Effect" rapper moved out of his shared home with Jenner in mid-September 2019, a source cited by People claimed on Wednesday, Oct. 2, that Stormi "will continue to live with Kylie," but "will spend equal time" with both of her celeb parents. "They are both great parents and will co-parent," the insider continued. "They don't want their split to affect Stormi too much. As soon as they felt they couldn't figure out their issues, they decided to separate so their disagreements won't affect Stormi."

But what's more? TMZ reports that Jenner will be following in the footsteps of sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, both of whom reportedly never put their own custody arrangements with their respective exes, Scott Disick and Tristan Thompson, in writing.

We love a strong co-parenting team! But as for whether Jenner and Scott's split will stick? Well, that's hard to say at the time of this writing. While one source told People that the former couple would have "trust issues" and lifestyle differences to overcome, another insider claimed to Entertainment Tonight, "Although they aren't together now, they're both open to getting back together in the future."
