Kevin Durant's Girlfriend: Is The Nets Player Dating Anyone?

As the coronavirus spreads across the globe, more and more celebrities are testing positive for the virus. From Luther star Idris Elba contracting COVID-19 to Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson's positive tests, it seems as if there's a new famous case every single day. As of this writing, NBA star and Brooklyn Nets forward is the latest celeb to test positive for the virus, telling The Athletic on March 17, 2020, "Everyone be careful. Take care of yourself and quarantine. We're going to get through this." In addition to Durant, three other Brooklyn Nets players have confirmed cases. "All four players are presently isolated and under the care of team physicians," a statement from the team reads.

Now that the news is out regarding Durant's concerning diagnosis, fans are more interested in his life than ever, especially regarding whether he's dating anyone special. We answer this burning question after the jump.

Kevin Durant likes to play the field

Once upon a time, Kevin Durant was engaged to WNBA player and Texas native Monica Wright. The two later called off the engagement, with Durant candidly explaining to GQ in January 2015, "I really didn't know how to, like, love her, you know what I'm saying? We just went our separate ways." The athlete seems to prefer the dating process and has been linked to California real estate agent, Cassandra Anderson, and model Amy Shehab, who reportedly was a nanny for Chris Brown's daughter.

As for why Durant hasn't settled down since Wright, it might have to do with his lifestyle. "Trust is the big issue," he told Cosmopolitan about the struggle of women who date NBA stars. "You've got to trust that he's honoring you on the road, that when he's traveling he's thinking about you and no one else. It takes a lot of patience." If the athlete does get a girlfriend, you can expect him to turn on the old-school romance. "I like something simple and traditional, like dinner and a movie," he shared. "The best way to get to know someone is to have a conversation over dinner. And steak houses have a nice atmosphere — the lights are dim, and they usually have a band playing."

Hey, maybe Durant will have more time to find Mrs. Right now that the NBA has suspended its season.
