Joan Collins, 93, Parties It Up With British Pal Elizabeth Hurley: 'Billy Ray Hit The Jackpot'
Age is nothing but a number for Elizabeth Hurley and her friend Joan Collins, as the two were partying it up in Saint-Tropez. Hurley offered fans a glimpse of her visit to Collins' villa in the French Riviera when she posted an Instagram carousel on August 18. In the caption, Hurley thanked the host and her husband Percy Gibson — whom Collins has a sizable age gap with — for hosting. "Thank you to the magnificent @joancollinsdbe and Percy for the most enchanting holiday in St Tropez. We adore you," the "Bedazzled" star wrote in her caption. The first slide was a group shot of Hurley, her son, and her boyfriend, Billy Ray Cyrus, sitting with the 93-year-old "Dynasty" alum, while the fourth slide featured Hurley and Collins wearing summery dresses with sunhats and hanging out together. Another snap showed Collins wearing a bathing suit in a pool while she held a drink. Beside her, Hurley posed in a bikini.
Not only did the photos showcase Hurley's friendship with her "The Royals" co-star, but they also put her curves on display in bikinis and revealing crochet cover-ups. That inspired Instagrammers to chime in on Hurley and Cyrus' compatibility. "Billy Ray hit the jackpot," one user wrote.
Earlier in the week, Collins made her own Instagram post about Hurley's visit to Saint-Tropez. "Here I am, with all my friends," Collins said in a video as Hurley came into frame. "Thank you mummy dearest," Hurley said. Collins, however, was not keen on being reminded of her age. "Forget the mummy," she replied. This wasn't the first time Hurley and Collins have vacationed together, as the two have been friends for years.
Joan Collins has visited Elizabeth Hurley's home too
In December 2023, it was Elizabeth Hurley who hosted Joan Collins when the two spent time at the "Austin Powers" star's countryside mansion. The pair looked to be true besties in an Instagram carousel Hurley posted from the visit. "Having fun with @joancollinsdbe who came to stay with us in the country before treating us all to her fab-u-lous show to promote her brilliant new memoir," she wrote in the caption. The upload included pics of the two British-born actors embracing while posing indoors, plus a couple of photos of the duo hanging out in the country. Fans noted that the two ageless Hollywood stars shared physical similarities. "You could be daughter and mother," one commented.
Seeing the pair appear so close had fans wondering just how long Hurley and Collins had been friends. During an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" in April 2024, a caller asked Hurley that very question. "I don't know when I met her, but she's become one of my best friends. I go to stay with her in her beautiful villa in Saint-Tropez," the "Bedazzled" actor replied. "She's exactly who I want to be when I grow up," Hurley added while gushing over Collins. She also had kind words for Collins when describing their time together on "The Royals."
Hurley has slammed work experiences with difficult co-stars in the past, but she had nothing but praise when discussing Collins. On "The Royals," Hurley starred as Queen Helena, while Collins was cast as her mother, Alexandra, Grand Duchess of Oxford. Hurley lobbied to have Collins play the part, as she revealed to The Hollywood Reporter in March 2015. "It was the best choice we could have ever made; she's perfect for it," she said.
