On September 6, 2026, the Creative Arts Emmy Awards crowned Woodley outstanding guest actress for her role in the Hulu series "Paradise." This marks the longtime actor's first-ever Emmy win, which she accepted in one of 2026's best revenge dresses. The "Divergent" star is back at the Emmy Awards tonight in a look that can only be described as confusing. Woodley arrived in glittery trousers that may or may not be from Harry Styles' closet, paired with a plunging blue blouse and long maroon gloves. The odd ensemble, coupled with a fresh Emmy win, proves the "Big Little Lies" star can wear whatever she wants when the whole world is on her side.

It seems that the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback couldn't help but try to steal his ex's thunder. On September 10, 2026, Rodgers sat down with the "Not Just Football" podcast and opened up about his breakup with Woodley — and he was far from sentimental. Rodgers revealed that a few days after their engagement, she apparently told him, "Before we get married, I gotta go f**k this guy," (via TMZ). On Sunday, September 13, TMZ captured the actor on video and asked if she had any comments, to which Woodley said nothing (but she did laugh). If actions could translate into words, it seems that she's feeling confidently unbothered.

Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley's relationship ended in February 2022, shortly after the couple got engaged. As a source told People at the time, "It was an amicable split — it just wasn't working." After a brief stint back together, things came to an end between them for good. In April, an insider revealed to E! News, "Shailene tried to give it another shot and was spending time with Aaron. But she quickly saw that everything was on his terms and nothing was going to change. There was no reason to continue, and she's done with it again." In 2024, the actor briefly spoke to Outside about a difficult time in her life that occurred back in 2022. "I felt like I lost my soul, my self, my happiness, my joy," she confessed. While the "Descendants" star never named Rodgers, it's widely believed that she was referring to their relationship, and broken engagement. 

The A-listers both gradually moved on with their lives but Rodgers seems to have stayed salty years later, while Woodley stays thriving. On "Not Just Football" he argued that her take on their breakup wasn't entirely accurate, in particular, "Her story is that I ruined her life and gave her crazy depression because I left her," as the NFL star asserted. After the clips went viral on TikTok, netizens spoke out in support of Woodley, including her supposed desire to be with another man before tying the knot with Rodgers. One fan commented, "He doesn't even realize this story is only embarrassing for him," while another cheekily wrote, "At least she asked [...] respectful queen."
