Three Days Before His Death, Ozzy Osbourne Told Daughter Kelly One Heavyhearted Thing

Kelly Osbourne is still mourning the loss of her dad and heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July 2025 at the age of 76 after suffering a cardiac arrest. On September 15, she appeared on Paul C. Brunson's "We Need To Talk" podcast and recalled the heartbreaking final words her father told Kelly before he passed. "He sat me down, and this was about three days before he died," the former "Fashion Police" co-host recalled. "He said, 'I need you to know something.' I said, 'What?' He goes, 'No matter what happens in this life, you can live the rest of your life knowing there was one man on this planet who truly loved you [...] And that man is me. [...] You are loved.'" Is someone cutting onions around here or what?!

The conversation immediately brought her to tears, with Kelly fearing it was her father's way of saying goodbye. As it turns out, it was. During the interview, she also spoke about losing her sense of self in the aftermath of Ozzy's passing. "I've said many times the girl that I was before my father passed is dead. That girl will never come back," Kelly admitted, adding that her world was turned upside down by the loss. The mother-of-one detailed the enormous void the Black Sabbath front-man left behind: "[He was] my best friend, my main protector, my biggest cheerleader, my hero, the one who always had my back, and I believe the only person in this world who was ever truly seeing me for who I am and loved me anyway, unconditionally."

Kelly Osbourne's interview with Paul C. Bronson also touched on her childhood, growing up in the spotlight, and her complex relationships with her mother and the rest of her family. Kelly and Sharon Osbourne are reportedly going through a rough patch right now, due to personal conflicts and political differences, yet Kelly only had nice things to say about her on Bronson's podcast. "She's incredible," the "Changes" hitmaker agreed when he started talking about Sharon. Kelly did hint at tensions over her decision to distance herself from her famous family by moving back to the U.K., though. "Me living here now and choosing to separate myself a little and kind of rediscover myself, it's not like it's caused a wedge between us," Kelly noted. "But I would say that the family is a little bit upset that I have decided to go home and figure out me for a while." 

In the end, though, she understands where they're coming from. "I get it, because I don't want to miss out on anything that my nieces are doing," the former reality star acknowledged, before arguing, "I'm a mother and I have my own responsibilities and my own life to live and I'm taking this time to be a bit selfish." Kelly recently split from Sid Wilson, her fiancé and the father of her son, after less than a year of being engaged. The celebrity couple was together for around four years, welcoming Sidney in 2022. They called off their engagement in March 2026. "So this is the era of selfishness," Bronson said, to which Kelly clarified, "[Yes,] but appropriate selfishness."
