It is hard to name a more famous powerhouse couple than Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. The pop singer and NFL star are both accustomed to the spotlight from being at the top of their respective careers. While they have amassed loyal fanbases over the years in their own right, the two superstars have only become more and more famous since starting their high-profile relationship in the fall of 2023. It's difficult for them to leave the house without it being highly publicized, so it is no surprise that the couple has been caught wearing some unflattering outfits throughout their relationship. 

Given their immense wealth, Swift and Kelce are usually spotted wearing designer clothes from top luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Despite the hefty price tags, they have still managed to style outfits incorrectly, which has resulted in several avoidable fashion trainwrecks. While Swift and Kelce went back to work soon after their wedding, the iconic duo probably could have used a break from the limelight to revamp their wardrobes. From denim overkill to bizarre abstract art, here are Swift and Kelce's worst-dressed moments as a couple so far. 

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's outfits were borderline comical at the Men's Final at the 2024 US Open Tennis Championships on September 8, 2024. Swift wore a red and white checkered sundress that looked like the inside of a picnic basket. Meanwhile, Kelce wore a matching striped Gucci shirt and bucket hat. His white long-sleeved shirt featured red and green stripes that made it look like he was wearing suspenders. Between his ensemble and his horseshoe mustache, he seemed to be missing the other three members of his barbershop quartet. With both of their old-fashioned looks on full display, the couple looked like they walked straight out of the 1950s. 

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spectators at Game Three of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals between the New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers on May 23, 2026. They stepped into Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, wearing denim-heavy ensembles. As a Cleveland Heights native, Kelce was repping the Cavs in a red T-shirt and ballcap with the team's logo. He also wore a denim Louis Vuitton short-sleeved shirt and matching pants that may have looked better if they had not resulted in denim overkill. Swift also opted for blue jeans, pairing hers with a black top under a black denim bomber jacket, all by Stella McCartney. With both of them wearing denim jackets over denim pants, the denim-on-denim became too much.

When Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce went backstage at "Oh, Mary!" on Broadway in June 2026, they looked like they were attending two totally different events. While Swift wore a burgundy velvet dress that was fit for the theater, Kelce seemed to be heading to the beach for a boat day. The NFL star wore a black button-down with a tacky red and green floral pattern. His red, yellow, and blue Elwood hat did not help his case as ballcaps are certainly frowned upon in the theater, but perhaps he was just too accustomed to attending sporting events.

It was still very early in their relationship, and it was evident they had not started coordinating their outfits yet. Swift wore dark neutrals and a dreary gray coat that appeared several sizes too large for the singer's thin frame. Meanwhile, Kelce made a bold statement in brown pants that were unfortunately too wrinkly. His abstract bird sweater was colorful and fun but completely clashed with Swift's minimalist, sleek look. 

Given Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship timeline, it's understandable that they did not have their couple outfits down to a science in 2023 when they first started dating. Shortly after their "Saturday Night Live" appearance in October 2023, they went to dinner in New York City wearing clashing color schemes. Swift sported a black leather skirt and boots with a black top that had green, pink, and purple floral accents. She also carried a fuchsia purse that did not quite match her top. Despite his date's dark outfit, Kelce opted for a light and bright ensemble that outshone hers. He wore a matching beige jacket and pants, along with blinding white sneakers that drastically popped while standing next to the pop star.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce finally managed to color-coordinate while holding hands in New York City on December 28, 2024. Swift kept it simple yet classy with a black minidress and black Christian Louboutin heels with their signature red bottoms clearly visible. Her long black Simkhai Ganni jacket was working overtime to keep the superstar warm in the winter cold. Meanwhile, Kelce was bundled up in what appeared to be red carpet leftovers from the last award show he attended. His matching red denim jacket and pants over a white shirt with black boots made it look like Santa Claus never left town after Christmas Day. Instead of accessorizing with a sack full of toys, his Nahmias trucker hat and sunglasses at night seemed completely out of place with the rest of the couple's look.

The post featured his favorite photographed moments from the offseason, including quality time with friends, family, and Swift. A couple of the photos showed him and Swift on an ice-skating date at the ice rink. Kelce wore a fuzzy jacket with artwork of mountains and trees all over it. He also wore a lumberjack hat that made him look like Cousin Eddie from "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." Swift also bundled up in a large black fluffy hat and a fur and leather jacket. While they looked goofy in their winterwear, they were at least having fun.

In October 2024, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce drew a large crowd when they stepped out in SoHo in New York City. The couple was heading out for a date night with superstar friends Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively. Swift continued her habit of wearing long oversized coats that cover most of her outfit on a night out. Under her coat, she wore a navy and nude Gucci corset that made us all do a double take: It created the illusion that she was showing a lot more skin that she was. When he and Taylor Swift stepped out in SoHo on May 15, 2026, he wore a blue and white pinstriped button-down by Marni that featured abstract art, including a wolf with water droplets and a blue corner with yellow flowers that were painted outside the lines. He wore baggy black pants that were also striped, committing the fashion crime of wearing double pinstripes in different colors. Swift's floral maxi dress for springtime did not look good next to his busy outfit, and together, their mismatched patterns were overwhelming.

Shortly after getting engaged, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce went on a date in NoHo on November 6, 2025. Swift wore a black Louis Vuitton outfit paired with knee-high black heeled boots. She also wore eye-catching fishnets with an intricate rose pattern. While the tights were a bold statement and an adventurous choice, it was not the most flattering on the singer. Meanwhile, Kelce's matching burgundy jacket and pants looked ill-fitting on the athlete, and the suede fabric created lines and ripples that made the ensemble look sloppy. Given how many date-night looks the couple has stepped out in, some were bound to fall flat.
