What Really Went On Between Colt And Vanessa On 90 Day Fiance
TLC reality star Colt Johnson recently saw another relationship hit the skids. This time with Jess Caroline. In case you're not a rabid follower of 90 Day Fiancé, allow us to fill you in.
Colt first appeared on Season 6 with his then-girlfriend and former wife, Brazilian-born Larissa Dos Santos Lima. Larissa and Colt had the type of mismatched relationship that only a 90 Day Fiancé couple can have. Colt's family was convinced that Larissa was only interested in him for his money; Colt thought Larissa was in love with him; and viewers mostly thought Larissa just wanted to be on TV. They're now divorced, and Larissa is still doing community service stemming from some of their more chaotic fights.
After Larissa, Colt met Jess Caroline, another Brazilian-born woman living in Chicago. The two did long distance for a while and got pretty serious pretty fast. Colt even planned on proposing at one point, until it all came to a spectacular reality TV-esque end. Jess caught Colt sexting other women and promptly pulled the plug on their happily ever after.
The sleazy sexts were just the straw the broke the camels back, though. Resentment had been brewing for months over Colt's close relationship with a woman named Vanessa. Jess was sure something was going on. Colt maintained they were just friends. Read on to find out the truth.
Colt Johnson and Vanessa have a long history
When Jess Caroline started dating Colt Johnson, she was adamant he stop talking to his longtime friend Vanessa, of whom she was always suspicious; and with good reason. After Jess broke up with Colt over the sexting, he came clean and admitted that Vanessa had actually moved in with him and his mom (as a friend, of course).
Viewers got some answers to the Vanessa mystery on a tell-all special of Happily Ever After?, when Colt faced off against both Larissa and Jess. After the ceremonial back-and-fourth of devastating insults, in which Colt mocked Larissa's plastic surgery, and Jess called Colt's mom the devil, the subject turned to Vanessa. Colt continued to maintain that he never cheated on Jess with Vanessa (despite her living in his house and talking to him all the time, but whatever). He did, however, admit that they've hooked up before, per Entertainment Tonight.
"Before I met you," he told Jess, "[Vanessa and I] slept together." He added, "And then after we broke up, I slept with her some more. Jess, I didn't cheat on you or hurt you." Colt then proceeded to slut-shame Jess for sleeping with him on the first date. "You throw around sex like it's going out of style," he said.
Speaking of throwing things around like they're going out of style, Colt also opened up about sending women illicit photos of himself, which he doesn't see as problematic.
