The Real Reason Kate Gosselin Lost Custody Of Hannah Gosselin

The Gosselin family has been in the news since their TLC days. Formerly the stars of the 2007 reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 — later titled Kate Plus 8 due to Jon and Kate Gosselin's divorce after Season 2 — and 2019 spin-off Kate Plus Date, the Gosselin kids have stayed in the news for one upsetting reason after another since each show's cancellation.

Though the twins (Cara Nicole and Madelyn "Mady" Kate) and the rest of the sextuplets (Alexis Faith, Aaden Jonathan, Leah Hope, and Joel Kevin) have their own stories to tell, Collin Thomas and sister Hannah Joy tend to be the center of many stories. Following an explosive interview Jon had with the Daily Mail in 2019, fans learned about Kate's alleged verbal, emotional, and physical abuse of Collin, which included sending him away to a psychiatric facility without Jon's knowledge. According to Entertainment Tonight, Kate has denied abuse claims and called them "unfounded."

However, Collin wasn't the only Gosselin child who had supposed concerns with Kate.

Hannah Gosselin apparently felt 'uncomfortable' living with Kate Gosselin

The custody battle between Kate and Jon Gosselin has been going on for more than five years, since the reality TV dad first filed for custody of daughter Hannah Gosselin, per E! News. That's when the teen reportedly first expressed feeling "uncomfortable" living with Kate. "In a perfect world, Jon would take all the kids, but he's not in a position to," a source claimed to the publication. "For now, he's at least trying to help Hannah. Out of all the children, she's the one voicing her discomfort."

As of September 2020, Hannah, as well as Collin Gosselin, lives full-time with Jon Gosselin and his long-time girlfriend Colleen Conrad. In an exclusive statement given to Daily Mail that month, Hannah said, "My dad has been there for me and Collin no matter what. He's been a very loving and supportive dad throughout everything." She continued, "Collin is facing many difficult issues and my dad is doing everything in his power to help him. My dad loves us and has never been abusive to us in any way." At least it's nice to hear that the siblings have found a sense of comfort and home with their dad.
