Why Teen Mom 2's Kailyn Lowry Isn't A Fan Of Javi's Fiancee, Lauren
Teen Mom 2 is full of drama, as per usual, but this time, there's some feuding going on off-screen. As it turns out, Kailyn Lowry is facing some drama with co-parenting, with a fan calling her out for supposedly being less than lovely to one of her ex's partners.
But first, a little backstory. Kailyn shares her eldest child, a son named Isaac, with ex Jo Rivera, according to People. Her second son, Lincoln, she welcomed with ex-husband, Javi Marroquin. Her two youngest, Lux and Romello Creed, are from her past relationship with Chris Lopez, per E! Online.
Now that we've caught you up on Kailyn's little family, here's what went down. It all started when in October 2020, Kailyn shared a post on Instagram to promote her new podcast, Baby Mamas No Drama, according to In Touch Weekly. In the spirit of camaraderie, Kailyn co-hosts the podcast with Vee Torres, the wife of Kailyn's ex, Jo. The Instagram pic, as well as the episode, had the three of them together: Kailyn, Jo, and Vee. Although many of the reactions were positive, one fan called out Kailyn for supposedly co-parenting selectively, claiming that Kailyn had been rude to Javi's fiancée, Lauren Comeau. So is there truth to the speculation? Hang on tight because things are about to get messy.
Kailyn Lowry shaded her ex's fiancée
On an Instagram post praising co-parenting, someone called out Kailyn Lowry for not being kind to Javi Marroquin's fiancée, Lauren Comeau (pictured above). The person wrote, "Is everyone ignoring the fact that she's super rude to her other son's stepmom? You can praise 'coparenting' all day, but it's obviously not a top priority for Kail." Kailyn clapped back, saying, "Welp, first of all. That's not Lincoln's stepmom. Second of all, you have NO IDEA what goes on off-camera and the reason why it'll never be the same type of relationship as I have with Vee. But go off, sis," per In Touch Weekly.
Although some might find Kailyn's comment a little too curt, the shade didn't come out of the blue. Kailyn has complained in the past that Lauren, who is not married to Marroquin and has never been a Teen Mom cast member, uses the MTV show to gain leverage and take advantage of paid advertising on Instagram, according to a previous article by In Touch Weekly. According to the website, Lauren posted an ad where Kailyn and Javi's son was present, sparking a confrontation. During a June 2019 episode of Kailyn's podcast, Coffee Convos, co-hosted with Lindsie Chrisley, Kailyn said she messaged Lauren and said, "Do not put my son in any of your ads." She noted that if her children appear in an ad, they should get paid.
So clearly there's some history there, and Kailyn doesn't seem to think that co-parenting is a one-size-fits-all relationship.
Javi Marroquin defended Lauren Comeau
Javi Marroquin, who was married to Kailyn Lowry from 2012 to 2016, jumped on Instagram to defend Lauren Comeau from her critics. "We stay out of all this drama and 100% mind our own business. There is nothing 'off cameras' that creates drama. We don't film," Javi commented on a Shade Room post, per The Sun. "It's about the kids and that's what we keep it at. Lauren helps me out tremendously when it comes to taking care of Lincoln. You guys hate on Lauren if she does too much or if she doesn't do enough. Never hesitates when Isaac wants to come over. I've paid for my mistakes but Lauren doesn't deserve this backlash at all."
As for Javi's "mistakes," he publicly apologized to Lauren in September 2019 after reports surfaced about his alleged cheating. Kailyn somehow got involved in the situation, as she claimed during an episode of Coffee Convos that Javi called her multiple times during a fight he had with Lauren about the infidelity. The couple supposedly accused Kailyn of leaking the story to the press, as she explained, "It didn't involve me, but somehow I got involved in it."
However, Kailyn did get involved in the drama when, during an October 2019 episode of Teen Mom 2, she accused Javi of cheating on Lauren during her pregnancy, Us Weekly noted. The same situation played out again in October 2020, when the reality star claimed Javi tried to sleep with her multiple times, despite being with Lauren. Sheesh — something tells us this drama isn't going to end anytime soon.
