This Is How Blackpink Really Feels About Cardi B

Blackpink is one of the most successful K-pop groups in the game, which is one of the reasons why they've formed relationships with other music industry A-listers like Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and Lady Gaga. That's also why fans were likely both unsurprised and totally thrilled when the ladies in Blackpink released a song, "Bet You Wanna," with Cardi B.

In October 2020, Blackpink sat down for a live broadcast to chat about THE ALBUM, which happens to be the name of their first full-length album. According to Soompi, the members of Blackpink also "shared their excitement about the track" with Cardi. Jennie praised the tune, saying it's "fun and happy," adding that it's "a song that makes you want to sing along." Apparently, '[t]he moment that you hear Cardi B's rap, it'll make you go, 'Ahh.'"

Rosé — who thinks the song is "very refreshing" — also noted, "Cardi B did an impression of me," which she seemed to be just as excited about. So does this mean that Blackpink and Cardi are besties? Read on to find out!

Blackpink was influenced by Cardi B

Blackpink "all grew up in different areas" and "grew up listening to a wide variety of music," which is why Rosé told CNN in October 2020, "I would say some of the amazing people we collaborated with we all grew up listening to and we are big fans of them."

Who was Rosé talking about? Well, while she may have been referring to both Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga — who they released "Ice Cream" and "Sour Candy" with, respectively — Jennie did bring up the "Bodak Yellow" rapper. "[Cardi B] is our first rap feature," she said while "breaking out into cheers and clapping," according to CNN. She then added, "We are so excited to share this music with you guys."

As for Cardi, she apparently "really love the girls" in Blackpink, but isn't always happy with their fans. When Blinks came after the rapper for apparently not promoting "Bet You Wanna" enough in their eyes, they went after the rapper. In return, she tweeted (via Radio.com) about her fondness for Blackpink, but added, "I won't let you lil kids play with me. I already got [paid] to do what I had to and I won't do [no more]." At least things between Cardi and the women in Blackpink are cool.
