Who Is Sean Connery's Grandson, Dashiell?

Legendary James Bond actor Sean Connery died peacefully in his sleep on Oct. 31, 2020, at home in the Bahamas. BBC News reported that Connery had been in poor health lately, but according to his son Jason Connery, much of his family was able to be with him at the end: "We are all working at understanding this huge event as it only happened so recently, even though my dad has been unwell for some time." Sean Connery is survived by his wife, French painter Micheline Roquebrune, his son Jason, and a grandson, Dashiell.

The Bond actor's son, Jason, was born in 1963 when Connery was married to his first wife, actress Diane Cilento. Jason is involved in show business just like his parents were, acting in varied projects like a Macbeth in 1997 and was a voice actor in the 2001-2002 animated TV series Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action. Jason was married to actress Mia Sara, who is best known for her role as Sloane Peterson in the 1986 film Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The couple had a son, Dashiell Quinn Connery, in June 1997. Keep reading to learn more about Sean Connery's grandson, Dashiell.

Sean Connery's grandson Dashiell Connery has gone Hollywood

The acting apple has not fallen far from the tree in the Connery family. Dashiell Connery followed in the footsteps of his grandfather Sean Connery and his father and is also an actor. Dashiell, who inherited his grandfather's handsome looks, is in the early stages of his own acting career, appearing in a small part in the 2009 film Pandemic (directed by his father Jason Connery) and acting in one 2020 episode of the TV series The Rookie. According to his IMDb page, he has two other films in post-production.

On Oct. 31, 2020, Dashiell honored his grandfather on social media by posting a solitary photo of Connery and the caption "Great Man." Fans commented on the picture with words of support — "my thoughts and prayers to you and your family," and "Legend." In 2010, Sean Connery, a huge soccer fan, told the Daily Record that he enjoyed kicking the ball around a bit with Dashiell when he could.

If Dashiell is even half as good as an actor as his grandfather was, he is destined to have a long and prosperous career in Hollywood.

Dashiell has been featured in TV shows, movies and music videos

Since his debut in the 2009 film "Pandemic," Dashiell Connery was featured in the Twenty One Pilots' "My Blood" music video as well as in Sam Hunt's "Young Once," per IMDb. His first big break was the film, "I, Challenger," in which he plays "Daeg", a young man who buys marijuana from a cannabis dealer. "Hey Everyone!!! I'm super f****** stoked that "I Challenger" is finally here!!! This was the first feature film I was ever a part of, and the whole cast and crew were so fantastic I got very lucky. Smoke some OG Krizank and get your popcorn. This is gonna be a smoooooth ride!" he wrote on Instagram.

In 2021, he starred in "Ted Bundy: American Boogeyman" alongside well-known actor, Chad Michael Murray. Dashiell also had roles in television shows, "NCIS: Los Angeles," and "Animal Kingdom," as well as several films. His latest big role as of this writing is "Clint" in the Paramount+ series "Tulsa King," starring Sylvester Stallone. On the date of the show's release, Dashiell told fans, "The wait is over, very happy and proud to be a part of this show." With both of his parents having successful careers in Hollywood, it's no wonder Dashiell's career is starting to explode.

Dashiell Connery is influenced by his family

As the late Sean Connery's grandson, acting is part of Dashiell Connery's family legacy. The budding thespian also credits his actress mother and his actor/director father for his love of acting. "They definitely have a big influence on me and my life. I mean, all family does for anyone, but I definitely got interested in film and the entertainment world from them. I think having my family definitely makes me want to be the absolute best actor I can be because the last thing I want is for people to think I only got a part because of my name," he told Book Of.

Although his parents are divorced, Dashiell has remained close to both his mother and father. According to Jason Connery's IMDb, he considered his son "the most wonderful person I know," and moved to Los Angeles to be near him. In 2019, Dashiell shared a picture of Mia Sara on Instagram and wrote, "The best mother I could ever have asked for." Sir Connery created a legacy of great actors and undoubtedly would have been proud of his grandson.
