The Truth About Brielle And Kroy Biermann's Relationship

Brielle Biermann has become a household name in reality television through her family's Bravo show Don't Be Tardy for the Party. But longtime Real Housewives of Atlanta fans can remember when she was just a little girl being raised by a single mom, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, with her sister Ariana. The three shared the last name Zolciak up until Kim married NFL player Kroy Biermann in 2011.

Two years after their televised wedding, Kroy filed to legally adopt Brielle and Ariana in March 2013, TMZ reported. Just four months later, Kim and Kroy spoke with E! News and confirmed that the adoption had been finalized and Brielle and Ariana had legally taken Kroy's last name. With Brielle being just 13 when Kroy came into the picture, the two took time building their father-daughter bond. Cameras captured the time the former Atlanta Falcons player put into earning his role as a father in Brielle's life. But what is their relationship like today? Let's take a look.

The 'disturbing' trolling against Brielle and Kroy Biermann

By September 2018, Brielle Biermann dedicated an Instagram post to Kroy Biermann that signified how close they had gotten since the adoption. "Screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the most incredible father/friend i could ever ask for," she captioned the photo from her high school graduation. "You have set the standard so high for what i should expect my husband/children's father to be like i feel sorry for my future husband!" She went on to applaud the former NFL star for being able to "step up to the plate" and take on "the role of 'dad' at 23 years old" before ending the heartfelt caption with "I love you papa!"

However, some fans might've forgotten how close the family is because in September 2020, Brielle and Kroy were called out over a family photo taken at his birthday dinner. In the pic, Brielle sat on her adoptive father's lap and smiled. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the most amazing father & man I'll ever know," she captioned the post. But a few critics felt that the lap-sitting was inappropriate, and after fans accused them of "hooking up," Brielle snapped back and asked, "Do you hook up with your dad?" She went on to reply "thank you" to one fan who defended her from the trolling. "The comments of her sitting on her Dad's lap is disturbing and to say have they hooked up, like what is wrong with you people," the fan quipped as noted by Page Six. "He's such an amazing example of what it's like to take care of and love children like his own."

Brielle and Kroy Biermann have a strong father-daughter bond

Despite not being her biological father, Kroy Biermann has built quite the strong father-daughter bond with Brielle Biermann. In February 2019, Don't Be Tardy fans watched as Brielle revealed to her sister Ariana Biermann that their step-dad walked in on her and her then-boyfriend getting busy. After being asked about the shocking reveal by TooFab, Brielle expressed her embarrassment about it being included on the show.

"Oh, my God! They aired that?!" Brielle yelled over the phone. "F–k! Oh, my God. I'm so embarrassed right now, I'm gonna cry!" The Bravo star owned up to Kroy catching her in the act. "Yes, he did walk in on me once. Yes, yes." She went on to explain her step-dad's strict rules despite her being of age. "His rule was like, 'I don't give a f–k what you do, just not in my house.' But he was so strict in high school! Even after I turned 18, I couldn't do anything. I had a curfew at like 6 p.m. on school nights. I get out of school at 4, which means I can go to Chick-fil-A and come home."

Here's what went down when Kroy Biermann caught Brielle Biermann in the act

Brielle Biermann explained what happened when Kroy Biermann caught her and her ex-boyfriend getting cozy. "I had a boyfriend, and he — I don't know," she sheepishly shared. "We were stupid. We were being stupid." After TooFab asked her if the embarrassing ordeal happened with her then-boyfriend Michael Kopech, Brielle said, "No," before adding that fans could "figure it out."

For those wondering how family matriarch Kim Zolciak-Biermann felt about all of this, she said her daughter made a common mistake. "Brielle's an adult," she told the outlet. "[Kroy] was unaware that she was around, so it was a sheer accident."

The RHOA alum went on to reveal how the family made light of the awkward encounter. "It was a very lighthearted situation that happened; although, he will kind of bust her chops here and there about it." It turns out, Kroy still gifted Brielle a new car after catching her and her ex. "Kroy made jokes for the first month!" Brielle revealed. "I was like, 'Dude, you're f–king gross.' And you know what's weird? My birthday was a few weeks later, and he had just ordered my Jeep that morning. After my mom told me, she was like, 'He could've f–king killed you! He was so pissed.'" But he still found a way to show his daughter how much he loves her. Like any father would.
