What Jo Del La Rosa From RHOC Is Doing Today

It's been a while since Jo De La Rosa appeared on the first two seasons of The Real Housewives of Orange County. At the time, she was the fun and bubbly life of the party who was engaged to fellow alum Slade Smiley. Born Johanna De La Rosa in Lima, Peru, her family immigrated to Tustin, CA during her childhood and ended up winning big in the lottery before relocating to Mission Viejo, CA, Fandom reported.

After graduating college, Jo enlisted herself into a title insurance program where she met her future fiancé Slade. After they hit it off and fell in love, Slade introduced her to a new lifestyle that resulted in her being cast as an original housewife on the first season of RHOC. The show followed her journey as she struggled with adjusting to the stay-at-home mom role that her fiance wanted her to play with his two sons Gavin and Grayson.

Her desire to pursue a career in music caused a rift in her relationship after she relocated to Beverly Hills in season two. Following a therapy session, the two decided to part ways with Slade agreeing to help manage her as an artist. The decision resulted in one season spin-off series My Ex: Jo and Slade, as noted by Bravo. That's certainly not where Jo's story ends, though. Keep reading to find out what this former Real Housewife is up to today.

Jo De La Rosa's quarantine bae

In January 2019 Jo De La Rosa took to Instagram to announce the end of her engagement to Mark Lovette. At the time, she told fans that she wasn't "'happy anymore" and desired "to build the life of my dreams." Meanwhile, Slade Smiley had moved on with RHOC alum Gretchen Rossi who was engaged and pregnant with his third child when Jo's second engagement ended, per Bravo. By September, she returned to social media to give fans an update on the new boyfriend she snagged after ending her engagement at the start of the year. "Feeling so thankful to have this incredible human by my side," she shared in the since-deleted post captured by Bravo

Later that year she reportedly threw shade at her ex-fiance Slade during a podcast appearance when she claimed that he used a "fake" engagement ring when proposing to her on RHOC. Four months later in March 2020, Slade broke his silence on the allegations and told People that "the truth of the matter is that she was so desperate to be engaged for the show that she bought the ring herself." Talk about spilling the tea!

In October 2020, the PopCandy Podcast host shared an Instagram photo with her new boyfriend that she met during the pandemic. "My whole heart and soul," the candid reality star shared in the caption along with a short story on how they met "in the middle of COVID." Maybe the third time will be the charm after all.
